I decided to make a Facebook yesterday. I was convinced by a friend from work.

Who cares right?

So I fill out my name, email, and make a password then it tells me I already have an account.

Um, what?

So I chose the lost password option and they emailed me a new one. I go and log in and low and behold I sure do have a Facebook with 2 comments, 1 friend, 1 picture and 1 gift.

Before logging in I had no idea what to expect and was trying to figure out how this could be, because I have never cared for the Facebook thing before. I knew only one person had access to my email in the past, and she was my ex of 3 years that ended up being covered up in more lies than a hooker is in leather and no way would she do something like this..

Ohh yess she would. The picture was of her mainly, and a side view of my cheek and eyeball covered up in a blanket with her smiling for the camera next to me. My one gift was from her Facebook, my one friend was her, and my two comments were her saying something about "hi baby, you're at work but i thought i would leave you love on your new facebook."

How.

Seriously weirdo right there. I am so glad I am way passed and over her. Gheez...

So do any of you have a Facebook? I could use some friends. Recently started rebuilding my life since the ex, lost a great job (they went out of business, falling out with lots of mutual friends and such, then moved 30 miles away) So a new start is what you could call it. Been doing it a couple months now and feel great.

I've found a few friends from high school. Not that I'm old, I am 24 but still it's been fun catching up with folks. I can't find anyone hardly though, or they just don't have a FB I dunno which.

something like that happen to me on myspace...except i never gave my password to anyone. I was looking to start a new account with an old email i hadn't used in a loong time. When i logged into the old email i looked at the inbox with old email and 3 new ones i never read. dated like 2 years ago..."welcoming me to myspace" i asked for the pass word to be resent and i got in. it was a cheap looking profile with like a 14 yr old dude. wierd thing is i never changed the password hoping to see if anyone logged on but no one ever did.

It was. It was stupid too. We were close, lived together, engaged with no date set, ... thank god no kids came along. -woosh-

Whats the difference from myspace and facebook? I have a myspace but it's mostly for my online gaming friends and family. Never tried facebook tho.

Uhm I never used myspace much but they are very similar from my experience. Facebook is more current and personal though.

I still have the old facebook layout but my brother has the new one and I fucking hate it. I don't get why facebook constantly changes its layouts and more often than not, it isn't for the better. I guess they don't realize they are going down the same path as myspace, which won't end well for them.

I haven't used it until recently so I really hadn't gotten used to it the old way. But it does seem a bit inconvenient that the most frequently used apps take 2 or more clicks to get to, like to update your status or log off.

The iPhone client is way better.

True, but it's not complete. You can't access everything you can as you can through the actual site. Can't view comments for certain things. Who knows why, and you can't poke correctly................

overall the new layout is ok. I'm indifferent about. You always have to improvise, adapt, and overcome. Judy, yes, it is a bit of a pain to get to see all your friends.

I'm pretty slim in the friend dept myself. I refuse anyone I'm going to talk to on the phone everyday anyway, anyone who I don't personally know, or anyone I know who sends me any farm, cafe, aquarium, orphaned animal crap. The "pillow fight" people are walking thin ice right now!

I just saw this in someone's status update:

FACEBOOK IS BLOCKING ALL YOUR FRIENDS NEWS FEEDS EXCEPT THE 250 THEY CHOOSE. TO UNDO: from HOME page scroll to bottom of page, click "Edit Options" ( to the right side ~ left side is "older posts"). Select NEWS FEED SETTINGS. reset 250 to 5000 for FB's max. Friend limit and your feed will work right again. Pass it on!!
