So, I've been having trouble sleeping lately and have been hooked to those late night informercials for all those TV Informercial Products; Kaboom Cleaners, Miracle Glues, ProActiv, Sheer Mineral Foundation with Leeza Gibbons, Smooth Away Hair Removal, etc.

I'm curious...has anyone here ever bought anything from these informercials? If so, which products and what was your reviews on it? I am seriously tempted to buy so many of those products just by their claims and testimonials on those 1/2 hour commercials, but obviously I know they aren't all the miracle workers they claim to be.

Thoughts? :)

I think ATRAIN has bought some Enzyte.

You should ask him about it.

Smooth away works to about 60% of whats advertised. A friend who used it on his ass told me.

Proactiv is a crap shoot - it didn't work all that well on my sister, so she gave her set to me, and it dried the fuck out of my skin (and my skin is not normally dry). That shit was painful. I've met people who swear by it, though.

We bought a rotisserie - the "Set it and Forget it" thing. They weren't lying - it actually does make the best chicken I've ever had.

I hope it works for me. My bro left a whole bunch right before he got locked up. I should check the expiration dates.

My mom has one of those rotisseries and it does indeed rock. I have a rotisserie (though not the Ronco or whatever it is kind) and chickens and pork roasts are awesome.

I have the shamwows and they do work pretty well. Since you can wash them and use them over and over I think they are a good investment.

I tried that oxiclean stuff and it really isn't worth it, imho.

:lol

It's funny because I did! We invited another couple over for dinner and used it to cook a chicken. They loved it so much they bought one and we got a little check from the company for referring our friends to their product.

I tried OxyClean, and it's not that great...just like any other product you'd get at the store. I was interested in that smooth away...how nice would it be if you didnt have to use a razor ever again? :lol But again...sounds too good to be true.

I didn't know they did that. My friend has one and just raved about the chicken. I tried some once at her house and it was delicious. But I didn't buy one, I just take my chickens over for her to cook for me :lol

Pro-Active worked for me pretty well.

The pedi paws works good on my basset hound who really hates his nails getting clipped.

The Miracle Blade knives I bought because I needed a new set of chef's knives and they worked really well until I got a really nice set for my birthday.

So far on all that stuff so good.

Only thing I ever tried that didn't work for nothing was OxyClean.

I just bought those green bags for fruits and veggies. I've read that they work. I guess I'll find out. Lord knows I thrown enough produce away because it goes bad before I've gotten around to eating it.
