The Dallas Mavericks might not be so quick to dismiss their neighbors to the north the next time.
Dirk Nowitzki led Dallas’ charge back from a 23-point deficit, and his 3-pointer from the right wing got the Mavericks back within 88-84 with 4:13 to play. Those were the last of his 28 points, and Dallas didn’t score again for 4 minutes.
Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle was upset the Mavericks were down that much in the first place, perhaps because they underestimated a Thunder squad without Durant (sprained ankle) and Green (back spasms).
“I just thought that the first three quarters were just a pitiful display for a team that has aspirations to be in the playoffs and try to move up in the standings,” Carlisle said. “We’ve seen this before, too many times.

Ummmm the Spurs beat the Wolves last night....aaaaaand LOL at Mavs up 2-0 in the 06' Finals only to choke 4 straight and lose 4 games to 2 and the following year another LOL at the Mavs for being the 1st number 1 seed to lose to a number 8 seed in a 7-game series. :flag:

It's not a shame at all to lose to thunders which are not a scrub team, though their records this season isn't very satisfying. I think it'll only take another 1 or 2 seasons for thunders to grow to a title contender. Durant has already made superstar level stats and Jeff Green also has plenty of potential that is likely to make him also do that good as well.

Nah, the Thunder actually have some solid young players for him to play next to. If they can keep building on what they have (and with Presti there I can easily see that happening), they should be a damn good team soon enough.
I Can't see Durant leaving that to play with a team of choke artists and scrubs that is barely making the playoffs.
