...Obama into the paint.

Reacting to news Obama picked North Carolina to win the NCAA Championship, Mike Krzyzewski says, "the economy is something that [the president] should focus on, probably more than the brackets." (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/03/19/duke-coach-obama-worry-economy-ncaa-picks/)

:lmao

And, in other news...Obama's teleprompter has a blog!

because it takes an extraordinary amount of time to fill out an NCAA bracket on Yahoo.

If Obama isn't working 24 hours a day, he must not be working at all. Where was Coach K when W. was out playing round golf while our troops had just been deployed to Iraq?

I have no problem with the President engaging in leisure pursuits. After all, all work and no play...yadda yadda yadda. However, I don't recall President Bush ever making his leisure into media events, complete with white boards bearing the Presidential Seal.

C'mon

You think he only worked his Crawford Ranch when the media were around? I don't recall seeing a Presidential seal on the chainsaw, either.

Look the media follows the President everywhere. There are miles of footage showing just about every president engaging in recreation or non-job-related activities.

I just think, in this case, the Duke coach has a point. After all, some amount of White House resources were expended to come up with the white board and schedule the event with ESPN. It's just silly, that's all.

If it were a candid moment of the President buying a square in an office March Madness pool, it's be different.

.........Obama went on to express outrage at Krzyzewski's remarks and lobbied congressional democrats to enact special tax legislation on collegiate basketball coaches at private universities in North Carolina making over $1 million dollars......................

That's almost believable in the current climate.

really? then why was there a cameraman standing right in front of Bush during his swing?

I don't have a problem with Presidents engaging in leisure pursuits either. It's why I don't start threads about them.

What kind of resources were used in transporting Bush around to sporting events?

Sadly, true. Regardless of how big a bunch of douchebags at AIG are or are not, the fact that our government would consider tax legislation aimed at punishing a group of people who did something the administration did not like is appaulling to me.

Because he asked to get that shot?

Actually, the thread was about the Duke Coach owning Obama. Someone else brought up Presidential leisure pursuits.

The same ones used to take President Obama -- and every other President -- everywhere he goes...that's a wash.

I don't think they allow Presidents to just jump in a Company Suburban or grab a Southwest flight to where ever they feel like going that day.

Because the Ranch in Crawford doesn't fit on a fucking white board. But if Obama spends months filling out that bracket he might actually catch up to Bush as far as vactioning goes.

Why is it you love to throw rocks from the most brittle of glass houses while standing on the 3rd floor balcony? Hows Bush liking that Crawford ranch? What, he's living in Dallas? Strange, its like the ranch was simply a media ploy.

No, it's like the ranch and Crawford was overrun by idiots, making it more desirable to move to a gated community.

:lmao I won't argue that it was overrun by idiots Yoni but changing houses isn't going to help that problem one bit. Its cool though, its not like he purchased the ranch at the start of his presidential run and its not like he made a spectacle of the place right off the bat by making his campaign announcement there.

No no, the ranch was certainly not a media ploy because it wasn't on a white board and it didn't have a presidential seal carved into the brush. Bush was above all that.

BTW, Gated community > 1500 acres huh? It must be hard to find solitude in 1500 acres. I mean com'on, you're practically on top of your neighbor.

it was pretty clearly you that said "I have no problem with the President engaging in leisure pursuits. After all, all work and no play...yadda yadda yadda. However, I don't recall President Bush ever making his leisure into media events, complete with white boards bearing the Presidential Seal.

C'mon"

and then proceeded to show us a picture of Obama's official bracket board.

Why are you mocking the President in this manner if you have no problem with him engaging in leisure pursuits?

Can anyone find that picture of Air Force 1 taking off over the grandstand during the Daytona 500 in 2004, after the President attended part of the race?
