9-for-25? Against the Warriors who play no defense? What is the need for taking 25 shots against a non-playoff team? This means the supposedly two MVP candidates shot a combined 19-for-47 against the Blazers and Warriors. Just confirms my theory that Kobe and LeBron only score big shots because they ball hog, take more shots, miss more shots, and sometimes those shots just happen to go in during clutch situations. Kobe can go 9-for-31 in a game, but if one of those 9 made shots was vs. the Spurs in an overtime game with under 5 seconds to go, he's the MVP despite missing 22 shots.

Roger Mason has been clutch 4 times without being a ballhog.

Gasol is MVP. I love Kobe but Gasol has been 100 times more consistent then Kobe. You always know Gasol is gonna shoot like 10 for 12 or 11 for 15. Lately Kobe has been throwing up a lot of bricks & just looks bored of the regular season.

I still don't understand the getting personal. I didn't make up LeBron and Kobe's stats tonight, they shot 10-for-22 and 9-for-25, it's in the box scores.

Looks like ballhog numbers to me.

Once again, nothing personal against Kobe, LeBron, SpursTalk, or any of its posters.

SD has been overdoing it lately. multiple threads a day is too much. he needs to go back to lurking, posting a thread once every couple weeks. he was much better back then.

+ 1

I kept saying that Gasol has been the Lakers MVP this season; he's been fantastic and consistent

Gasol is consistently getting his off Kobe or the triangle. But Kobe sets the table. He's the reason why Gasol is rarely doubled, gets lots of dump off looks, and has the freedom to do his thing.

T-Maclike numbers nothing to be suprised about here since Kobe and T-Mac are nearly the same type of player.

Its because he is playing off Kobe, Kobe sets up Gasol because so much attention is on Kobe that Gasol gets easy looks, Gasol didnt do anything in Memphis after that one good year

Since when was 10/22 "ball hogging"?

The Cavs needed LeBron to take every one of those shots, and probbaly more. Delonte West and Mo Williams couldn't toss a penny in the ocean last night - they combined 8-29.

They really only needed him to shoot the ones that he made, nobody needs missed shots after all

Except that one wins and the other doesn't. Except that one is considered one of the toughest players in the game and plays through injuries and the otherr is considered one of the biggest pussies ever to play in the NBA. Except that one has got 3 rings and been to the finals 2 other times and the other hasnt sniffed the 2nd round. :lmao
