iverson is a cancer and a ball hog, gilbert doesn't deviate too much from the offensive scheme

The offensive scheme being give Gilbert the ball anytime he wants it?

Arenas is even more obnoxious personally than Iverson is, and would be considered the bigger cancer if he'd ever been marketed as much as Iverson and his team had ever been worth a damn.

Funny, I never heard Jamison or Butler complain. I guess they feel he shares the ball enough.

Arenas is just awful. I don't know how many NBA players there are that could score 60 if they were on a bad team and allowed to shoot every time they touched the ball, but it's not a small amount. He's the epitome of a black hole and he'll never, ever, ever (even at 100% health) be a key player on a true contender. A total fraud of a superstar.

I'm sorry he's not white and that his two favorite things in the world aren't Jesus and flopping.

Jamison is being paid $10 million a year to do his poor-man's-Antoine-Walker routine. What reason does he have to complain?

Butler is a professional who doesn't whine, in exactly the same way Arenas isn't.

AI has been averging 30 and 5/30 and 7 routinely for YEARS. Say what you will about him being a ballhog or whatever, but the guy put up huge numbers year in and year out and always put his body on the line whenever he played.

Kobe never dissed him. He just pointed out the 30 free throws he shot. Gilbert's just a fucking cry baby attention whore.

It's not a diss, but it does seem like sour grapes to bring up freethrows. It seems like he was being a bit of a sissy about it.

He's pretty much my favorite player to play as in the NBA games.

What did Kobe say about Arenas?

EDIT: Kobe basically said that Arenas was lucky to get 60 points. He said that Arenas took 27 free throws that game when the Lakers as a whole took 30. But luck clearly can't get you to 60 points, he was just on fire.

You tip your hat and say, 'See you next time.' First of all, he shot 27 free throws. We as a team shot 30. Think about that.

But him individually, it's funny. He doesn't seem to have much of a conscience. I really don't think he does. Some of the shots he took tonight, you miss those, and they're just terrible shots. Awful. You make them and they're unbelievable shots. I don't get a chance to play him much, so I haven't gotten used to that mentality of just chucking it up there. He made some big ones, but I'll be ready next time.

Speaking of which, I forgot how much I disliked Stephen A. Smith. :nope

Lakers were still weak at that time. gilbert's 60' game took place in 06-07 season, one season earlier than the season when the lakers lushed rapidly by robbing grizzlies. another reason for his remarkable 60' game...

Arenas is just a big boy who loves his home over anything else, so he felt extremely excited and energetic when playing in LA where he was born.

Arenas plays really well when he feels personally affronted or has a reason to do well for himself. Iverson took a team to the finals, and stole a game from a Laker team with far more talent. For that reason alone he deserves never to have Arenas compared to him.
