He did a masterful job carrying the team the majority of the game. It's too bad he couldn't make anything but layups.

Honestly, I think Parker was just completely out of gas so he had nothing in his legs to help him with his freethrows shots. If you noticed he wasn't even using them on any of those freethrow attempts. But gotta had it to the man, he carried us this game.

As for Finely... for Christ sakes he has no excuse!!! :bang:bang:bang

Parker also doesn't cash a $20 million dollar check, he's an All-Star not a Superstar (even though he plays like one for the Spurs at times)

03-20-2009, 10:02 PM
it really doesn't matter, it's still in the regular season and manu is sidelined tonight, so "los spurs" have plenty of excuse to lose this game.

Finley was.....well Finley....

Yes, his 4th FT missed was very short.

That what happens when he needs to carry the team for 2 months with TD and Manu injuries

loveforthegame
03-20-2009, 10:03 PM
Parker carried the team most the night so he deserves props for that but a lot of players are gassed at the end of the game and don't choke ft's like he did tonight.

Or are we just going to blame Finley for starting it?

To be fair to Parker, one of those fouls was bullshit, Pierce drew the charge...
So technically he only missed TWO legitimate FT's. :lol
Ball don't lie.

It's just a regular season game, I'd only be mad if we were in make or break decision with this loss.

6 Missed FT's and not even one made shot has too much humor in it to enjoy, regardless if it's our team.

The Spurs probably just gave the Celtics their mojo back for the rest of the regular season which means they have a very good chance of holding onto their #2 seed.

It's going to be Cavs vs. Celtics in the ECF.

Bricking freethrows is inexcusable down the stretch. Idiots (more like morons) like you bring up excuses.

If this game was three nights ago, I could maybe understand and chalk it up to some St. Patrick's Day mojo.

But they don't get a pass on this one. Six missed free throws is pretty unfathomable, especially when it's guards who are missing them.

6 straight missed free throws is like on of the strangest things ive seen.

Parker has shown that he IS CLUTCH before, time and time again.....Finley and Parker missing 6 shots consecutively is just freaky....

That's what I was thinking. This was a huge game for the Celtics. They battled, never lost contact and won a game they probably should have lost.

That's what champions do. The Celtics are an emotional team, so this this game will likely be a boost to them.

Finley is usually clutch for ft's too.

It's disappointing but I'd rather lose for a fluke thing like missed 3s and ft's instead of getting blown out because we didn't play good defense.
