The Rockets just made one more shot than we did. No big deal. Still ahead in the loss column, so don't get excited Rockets.
No big deal, Rockets just takin over 2nd Place in the standings like we're supposed to do. :hat

i have no response after this one...what can you say, over the last few weeks i've gone from being a frustrated fan to just not giving a crap anymore.
You just can't judge this team the way its currently constituted, and with the injuries this year. But at the same time, both the celtics and the rockets have dealt with injuries, so its not an excuse.
+1
yeah Pop keep Manu benched until 7th seed is locked...

I don't know why is Gooden not playing at least 15 minutes...Bonner is killing me.
I thought Bonner played pretty well. Gooden still looks lost defensively.

Tim was fuckin' awful when he went back into the game for Kurt, Yao shut him down.....so why would he get the ball if he was cold? :bang
Tim Duncan has always and will always be the best option to score or draw a double and kick. Better than the bullshit Tony threw up.

To use the old Spurs homer mantra...."Gooden doesn't know the Spurs defensive sets and rotations yet". Meanwhile Tim Duncan is leaving Scola wide open for a layup in the clutch :lol
and Parker thinking that his FG are Kobe`s..... Drive to the basket you moron

B2B losses @ATT in March to playoff teams, Spurs don't have it this year. They could have won both of these games without Manu, but they just don't have it.
Maybe Tim is on some kind of painkiller that has him zonked out and foggy. :)

Actually Tim Thomas was responsible for Scola. Timmy was five feet from Yao and thought he was going to shoot the ball. Yao just made a great pass.

that was Thomas' and Parker's faults for going to double Brooks and leaving Tim to guard both Scola and Yao.

Manu's injury has really screwed up the team. I think no one thought it was this bad or that Manu would still be out. I think the rest of the team kept thinking Manu would be back and he'd save the day. Now it looks like he's just going to play a few final games.
His injury and Timmy's on-going knee problem might just doom our post season.

that wasn't timmy's fault. thomas and parker doubled houston's pg so timmy had to guard both yao and scola. he did what he could and the spurs made a huge mistake but it wasn't timmy's mistake, it was thomas and parker.

At any rate, the offense was awfal, in eneral.
A bunch of guys standing and waiting for Parker or Duncan to come up with something.
No movement without the ball, no aggressivness on the offensive board.
They came back into the game thanks to the D.
And Bowen and Udoka played superb games.
This is non going to be sufficient to make it past the second round of the playoffs.
or maybe even the first.

Duncan was solid today, no complaints about him..he played great on D as well, and he was great on the boards..I don't know how many rebounds he had, but he had a lot of tips on rebounds too..

as others have said, Duncan wasn't at fault at all for the last Scola shot..obviously most of you don't understand basketball though..why would Duncan give up the J? basketball is a team game, he's supposed to trust the team D..Scola wasn't his man to guard in any way..if Duncan didn't come out to guard Yao, these same idiots would be complaining about it if he made the shot..
this was a horrible loss, so was the Boston loss..any time you have a game in control, or choke horrible, it's a horrible loss..but some of you seem to forget how the Spurs system works for some reason..
this system is completely centered around 3 guys..Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili..right now, we're missing one of these guys..not only does that rob us from Manu's scoring and playmaking, but it forces others like Roger Mason to play a role that they aren't accustomed to, and wouldn't have the same responsibilities if Manu was in the lineup..

Bring Gooden in.

And give some rest to Parker as well.
No wonder that the fresher players -Udoka and Bowen- were the only solid contributors today.

Rockets came from 7 back in the 4th. On the road.
When's the last time we did something similar against a good team, I can't recall?
Too few minutes for Gooden and Hill. Parker looked tired in the 4th.
It's great when you hold your opponent to a 13 point 3rd quarter. But when you have to expend all your energy to score 16, something's not working.
Too many problems and too few solutions at this point. Manu's comeback is not the cure-all.

If I remeber correctly, and I do have a phenomenal memory, you are the guy that wanted STEPHEN freaking MARBURY on the Spurs.
Quoting is "new" life, "reborn" soul and the rest of the usual crap.
So the SAME "idiots" tell you that you know nothing about TEAM basketball, if you go after a Yao -a proven looser- to improbably prevent an 18 footer, and leave LUIS SCOLA -a proven WINNER- have a one footer.

They ARE actually playing these guys and they ARE loosing.
OKC, Boston, Houston.
And falling.
They RESTED Duncan with Minnesota and guess what? They won.
At any rate, it is extremely unlikely to regain HCA.

I didn't see the replay...I know it was close, but there were missed calls going both ways. Duncan dove on top of Battier to force the jump ball. That was definitely a foul. At any rate, I don't think it was a bad shot by Parker at the end...just a bad result. Parker was killing the Rox before that. The one layup right past Yao. UGLY Defense.

HCA was lost a long long time ago for the conference-but they still have the 2nd least amount of losses by a game so we still can pull off hca thru the first two rounds and then be away against lakes. So because we've lost these close games to boston and boston we should've looked back with 20/20 and said oh well you know we lost anyways so we shouldnt have played them.. Well duh, but we cant do that. Do you have any idea how many games coming up we'd probably lose if we sat say TD or parker where we would've wont with them? No, we don't but its very obvious u take another one of you best 3 players out on the bench we will have a hard time winning any games at all. Point is they don't have the luxury to sit/rest these players, the conference is too close-we could easily fall to 6.7. 8, maybe even not make the playoffs if we don't start playing better and have our best players out there.

All you have to do is avoid the 8 seed.
That can be done by winning 7, 7 games.
If you rest Duncan for 2 weeks and Parker for one, bring in Gooden and ahave Ginobili back in 2 weeks, that can be managed.
Anything else is just a waste of energy.
Take the next two games. Play Hill and the rest of the crew and you will win.
Next night in Atlanta: play the whole team and you will loose.

I don't see why ppl are sucking off the Rockets so much on nat'l tv or Spurs fans blowing up, because Houston still has one more loss than us, they are still technically third in the West. And Houston will lose some more games, seeing as how they have 3 of their next four at Utah, at Phoenix, and at the Lakers.

Well we can't win them all. We need to lose some to avoid that dreaded ego-monster. Plus, I was just saying we needed more of these last position situations to try out other options rather than Mas w/ the 3 point buzzer...nice play if it was actually more time that 0.3 because obviously that doesn't work...and of course if he would've made it too! But c'mon we all know too that Manu doesn't just bring in a whopping 3 points to the team...so these games are absolutely ours to win. We just need to come out w/ FIRE! && that looks inevitable now w/ this 2 loss streak..i'm sure their feeling that fire lit under their little booties! C'mon guys let's get it going!! =)

the Rockets finally have a team that doesnt rely on mcglass and they're showing it. no one outside of the Rocket's fanhood saw it...but now they are so....that's the reason for the "big coverage".
I knew the team was better without mcglass from the get-go. but now that they're in that 2 spot, the media decides to cover them. and by media, I mean, ESPN.
Houston still has one more loss than us, they are still technically third in the West.
TECHNICALLY, its all done by winning percentages and until the SPURS winning percentage is HIGHER than the ROX...the Rox will have a better record.....TECHNICALLY speaking.
