I'm just pissed off of going to the Spurs games and being surrounded by fans who do not get into the game. I mean the Spurs had less than 3:45 left to play in the 4th quarter against Houston and nobody was standing up or yelling defense or Go Spurs Go. I mean they're just sitting around, acting like it's a who cares game. The announcer had to yell "everybody get up!" Finally fans got up with less than 45 seconds left to play.

Are fans bored, embarassed, stupid, too fat to want to get up from their seat, too skinny to care. What the fuck is it??

Fans that are used to going deep into the playoffs and always having a winning team.

Complacency....it's the same reason the Spurs might not sell out all their playoff games.

I wonder the same thing. We're too spoiled.

i thinks spurs fans are different, i wouldnt use terms weird...i dont know if theyre spoiled or expect teams to go deep in playoffs, but any teams will support on the court regardless teh records. SA fans tend to get complicated. I would refer tspurs fans as emotionally matured ones. People in this forum got lots of tolerance against opposing views.. i mean some suns fans trolling like crazy in this forum and didnt get banned...and i see no curse back either maybe one or two times only sometimes...

JAG--Good point. I've thought that as well. And, as a season ticket holder for several years, it sickens me because our Franchise player will not always be around. He has a few more good years with his knees hopefully. And, then the fans will regret taking for granted how good the Spurs were for a very long time.

I understand in the regular season, but I don't understand it at all for playoff games. Complacency is a pretty sad excuse for not selling out playoff games. I'd attribute it more to idiocy.

weird. I went to the blazers game and everybody was on their feet cheering every time we got a rebound even.

I wish they they were on their feet cheering the Spurs on for most of this game. It would have been refreshingly nice. Fans seem to get more into it at the play-offs. We sense the difference right away.

Sometimes the fans energy is all it takes to get some adrenaline in those guys and maybe give them that extra lift. At this point the Spurs need all the help they can get with all the injuries and new guys.

I don't know if that is true. I have hung out in 224 since the preseason, and the fans sitting around me have been weak at best.

Last time the Lakers came to town? Only one kid was really getting into it. Everyone else just sat there and let the Kobe fans talk shit.

Mavs? I have been to games in past years where fans get ejected because of fights breaking out against Dallas trash, but this year was different. Honestly, I felt like our fans were phoning it in.

I had a chance to move to a suite during the Dallas game, and it was like one of the "Living the High Life Commercials". Nobody gave a damn.

They yell in the balcony and they sit on their hands on the floor. Bottom line is the wealthy of San Antonio believe they are too good to cheer with any passion.

No, really it's just not the damn good seats. I'm in section 103 row 23. I mean everybody around me is pretty lame. I can't believe it. We feel guilty for standing because we don't want to block the people's view behind us, but come on. We should all be on our feet supporting the team at the very least in the final minutes of the game.

Manu and Tony always comment the fans are the 6th man out there, especially here at home and how they love to hear the fans going crazy.
I just wish there was more enthusiasm. Bottom line is Fans are too damn spoiled from winning too much. Fucking pathetic...

I think it's a combination of all these things. And plus the Spurs don't give them much to root for lately. i think Spurs fans know our reign is over.

Dude they are fans, just like every where else. Spurs fans are very spoiled, but I have been to games around the country and the fans are really no better. A lot of fans are in it for entertainment, so if a game is boring they sit.

It does not help that the PA guy and the "hype man" are not very good either. Also, the fans mimic the team. It is hard to be going crazy when your main player is so stoic.

Well, I don't know how our PA and "hype man" compare to other teams. I haven't been to many other basketball arenas to compare. I've heard that Utah is exceedingly loud.
I wonder how our fans compare to other fans as far as being loud and standing up go?
New Orleans seems pretty loud too?

That was awful. I was out of town and watched the game on TV, and I could here it. Of course had we won, I would have been pissed that I missed the game, but I was somewhat satisfied I wasn't there to hear those chants. :ihit
