Thinking very hard and deeply, Spurs without Manu puts them on the level of Rockets Jazz and even hornets, a tier 2 team, Im not going as far as to say spurs pre-duncan but pretty damn close. No doubt in my mind Spurs without manu have no chance against the lakers but could face elimination vs much lesser teams l

Even without Manu, we shouldn't be struggling this way. The hesitancy and uncertainty is contagious.

Even with Manu we wouldn't be way above those "tier II' teams as you call them. The Rockets, Jazz and Hornets are all solid teams and even with Manu Ginobili they will give us a run for our money. Point in case, Last years Hornets. It won't be so easy as you think.

You are giving the team too much credit. Go the whole season with only two of the Big Three and they're definitely first round fodder ... no questions asked.

last years hornets were the mavs of 06, with a healthy Manu Jazz rockets and hornets are cake, the only team that will be a threat are ofcourse the lakers, with a healthy Manu

i think a team with full year good quality time for HILL, MASON and gooden can offset the loss in production of ginoboli....too bad fkn pop still fkn with the rotations

I don't know about that, but they sure are boring to watch without Manu, I mean, they desperately need that energy he brings every game.

Spurs know they had no manu
they would not keep hearing manu has to play to win it all
they would believe in themselves and kick ass

Question if spurs were playing like this without tp
how many threads would be like this?

Oh tp clearly is the best player this year on the spurs

The Spurs smoked their own dope after the title two years ago. They thought they were good enough to coast a little bit and make dumb basketball moves to save some $. Many here sung the praises of the front office and that approach.

When TP is out injured there aren't any retards on here insisting the Spurs could win championships without him.

Agree the front office sat on their last championship too long and did not do enough to improve.
