As if Kobe Bryant needed any motivation when the NBA Playoffs start in less than 30 days, he, along with the rest of the Lakers, received some bulletin board material from their potential first round foe. Dallas Mavericks backup center Ryan Hollins spoke with the media (http://mavsblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2009/03/ryan-hollins-has-a-plan-for-the-lakers.html), and said “Kobe Bryant is one of the greatest players in the game, and I think sometimes he has issues trusting his teammates,”. He kept going, saying “Maybe we catch them off guard, kind of get Kobe into playing a little one-on-one or doing a little too much, I think we’ve got a shot at them definitely.” Hollins may have been trying to be positive for his team, but as a player who has zero playoff experience, and no big game experience, Dirk should blame him if(and when) the Lakers sweep Dallas out of the postseason.

Yeah, how is he insulting Kobe? That's the formula for beating the Lakers, turn Kobe into a one-man team. Much easier said than done.

I was expecting to hear something worth mentioning. He's strategizing how his Mavs can beat the Lakes.

Don't talk to him, don't even look him in they eye.

Seriously though, you have got to be crazy trying to get Kobe (or any decent player) all riled up like that.

He made a good point in the interview, though, when talking about how the Bobcats would try to beat the Lakers.

It makes sense, in a weird, roundabout way because the Bobcats have been the Lakers kryptonite. But yeah, Hollins...tap the brakes a little, son.

Hollins hasn't earn enough "spurs" (pardon the pun), to open his mouth on a subject like that. STHU
