How are the Hornets supposed to catch you guys if you steal road wins like tonight?

we hope you don't. But the way we've been playing (other than tonight), you could catch us.

I did not expect the Spurs to be in this game at all. This is a very decent Hawks team and the Spurs are doing a pretty good job without Tim. I'm glad that Kurt, Drew, and Matt stepped up. Mason is continuing his good shooting after his slump and Parker is absolutely destroying the entire league.

Let's rest Tim some more!!

It's weird when the opposing team gives player of the game honors to our guys - tonight it's Tony. But these guys love Parker!

Who wouldn't.

Like I said the only point guard better is Chris Paul.

Every other team would have to prefer Tony excepting Utah simply because Deron's size is more conducive to the type of game Utah plays.

Tony Parker 36 points, 10 assists, 3 rebounds and 16 for 22 from the floor !

Hell of a game without TD or Manu (for all practical purposes Manu might as well have not played in terms of impact on the game).

Joe Johnson is AWESOME. Anyone ragging on him is not smart.

Fantastic player Joe Johnson. I was really happy when Phoenix traded him. What do the Phoenix fans in the game thread here think of him?

I think it's disgusting and pathetic how he was thrown under the bus by the media and labeled as selfish when Marion and Amare are both 100x as selfish as he is and neither one is as good.

There's this attitude by the Phoenix media that when the Suns FO makes a dumb moves that if they make up stuff and slander the player the Suns traded or make up skills that the player the Suns traded for/drafted has even though he doesn't have them, it somehow makes the trade good.

Big difference in play tonight !

Yesterday TP played his usual 33 minutes, today almost 40. He played the whole 4th quarter, and if the rest of the game is an indication if he had been on the bench at any point in the 4th the Spurs would have blown the lead yet again. That's the difference (and almost flawless FT shooting tonight).

Indeed. Curious why Matt only shot one 3, but 8 and 7 on 50% FG is commendable, for him it's sensational. And Gooden was great in 24 mins, but he didn't grab alot of boards, especially for him.

Don't you think the defensive intensity is better in the games with out TD since TD sat out at first? It's very weird. Some of the games with TD the defense is bad. That's not a knock on Tim though. I think guys relax more when he is there.

I think you hit the nail on the head. People think that they can just make defensive lapses and Tim will erase them all. I think that happens with Finley and Mason.

Without Tim, everyone is aware that Tim is absent and that they will have to play good team defense.

And it's noticeable.

Good catch !
