Ratt, Cinderella, Winger, and Poison.
Interesting choices. I saw RAtt and Poison together in concert about two years ago.
Ratt rocked.
The Poison performance was really funny, considering how much time the whole band spent giving credit to CC Deville. I remmebr watching a show about Poison, and there was some kind of contract clause that Brett Michaels was not allowed to physically touch CC in any way. :lol
Judging fromthe concert, that clause still stands. :rollin

Music today cannot compare to the past, I barely listen to the radio for god sakes. The only bands that i listen that is new is Five Finger Death Punch, All That Remains, Trivium.

I'll stick with Metal and recommend the only true metal album I've ever listened to or owned. Black Sabbath's Dehumanizer.
What else? Uh, Neil Young live at Canterbury 68.
Some under appreciated Dylan albums- Under the Red Sky, World Gone Wrong, Street Legal, Infidels, Before the Flood and The Basement Tapes.
Peter Tosh- Mystic Man
Miles Davis- Agharta
Go to youtube and check out Hendrix singing Like a Rolling Stone at the Monterrey Pop Fest.

That's easy to say when most of what we hear from the past is the good stuff - it's not like everything that came on the radio back in the 70s was amazing, that's just what we've picked and chosen out of it to stick around. Granted, I think there's a lot of shit out there today, but there are still a lot of people making good music - not too many of them make it onto any sort of heavy radio rotation, though.

listening to metal is your first mistake--pick a better genre. metal isn't music anyways--it's noise.

A couple of good older albums are Fear Factory-Demanufacture, Vision Of Disorder-Imprint (featuring a song with Phil on it), and Coalesce-Functioning On Impatience.
A couple of newer ones are Between The Buried And Me-Alaska, Converge-Jane Doe (although not that new), The Red Chord-Clients, Meshuggah-Obzen (get this album).
