With 25 pts against the Clippers, TP will reach (at 27 years old) the 10 000 points mark

10,000 points for Tony Parker??? It doesn't seem like he's been in the league that long.

I wonder where that ranks with the youngest to reach the 10k point mark.

I wonder where that ranks with the youngest to reach the 10k point mark.

I'm sure MJ, Kobe and Lebron did it faster but I'm also sure no Spurs fan thought of Parker as becoming the player he has become when the Spurs first brought him in. I'm not going to say he's the greatest PG of all time, but he may end up being the greatest draft steal of all time if he continues to improve his game each year like he has.

Lebron - 23 years and 59 days (record)
Kobe - 24 years, 193 days

Kobe was the youngest to do it prior to Lebron.

The 10,000 mark? That's nothing. Kori Ellis is over the 59,000 mark and timvp is over 38,000. No one knows for sure about SpursFan/Marcus Bryant.

as pointed out, he is not the youngest to reach that mark but for a PG playing with Duncan and Ginobili, this is quite amazing

Cool.....

Stephon Marbury and Oscar Robertson are the only point guards to do it as young as Parker.

Chris Paul has an outside shot at joining them but that's about it.

I missed Thomas on your list...so Oscar Robertson, Thomas or Marbury.

Marbury was some time during the 2002-2003 season (about 1/3rd through the season) and therefore at age 25-something.

Robertson about his 26th birthday (but the pace was quite dfferent back then)

Thomas at 26.5 years of age.

Parker about 2 months short of his 27th birthday.

That's definitely nice company to be in.

I think TP also holds the record for most playoffs games at any age, youngest to 100 playoffs games and so on.

What's amazing about that list is Jordan, McAdoo and Kareem all played three years of college ball and still made the list, and Shaq played two.
