I just heard they are making The Three Stooges with Sean Penn as Larry, Jim Carrey as Curly, and Benicio Del Toro as Moe.

I'm still angry about a remake of The Karate Kid with Will Smith's son too.

They should just redo the pool scene once a year and air it randomly as a commercial advertising nothing.

With Phoebe Cates, or a new chick every year?

Yeah I like the idea of doing the pool scene over and over with different actresses.
Maybe Judge Reinhold's part could also be played by a woman.

With someone in her likeness. After a while, she will deteriorate and take away from the effect of the scene.

Hell no....if anyone dared try to out-phoebe Phoebe, I'd put a hit out on her.

If you wanna watch a wrinkled, old, and deteriorated ass on TV in twenty years from now, then you go right ahead.

I think it's premature to call her old and deteriorated.

Why would it be filmed twenty years from now?

Why would it be in twenty years?
Once a year eventually leads to year twenty. Eventually she must go to preserve the effect. Otherwise, the commercial is just weird nostalgia.

I see the black community remaking this flick. Sort of like the Honeymooners with Cedric the Entertainer or the remake of Can't Buy Me Love now called Love Don't Cost A Thing with Nick Cannon. Ice Cube is remaking Welcome Back Kotter with a all black cast. He is playing Kotter. The Johnson Family Vacation was the black version of National Lampoon Vacation. The first one I remember was Will Smith playing Jim in the remake of Wild Wild West. Eddie Murphys Nutty Professor was a Jerry Lewis classic.
Thats the only way I see Fast Times At Ridgemont High being remade
