Golden State Warriors swingman Stephen Jackson will undergo surgery to remove bone fragments from his big left toe on Tuesday, Jackson told ESPN the Magazine's Ric Bucher Friday night.
Jackson, who will miss the rest of the season, had the toe examined in Houston on Friday. It has bothered him for the past two seasons.
Rockets team doctor Tom Clanton, who performed surgery on Yao Ming's big toe last season, is expected to perform the operation. Jackson will be sidelined for approximately four weeks before resuming basketball activities.
