Spurs pathetic for taking and missing so many wide-open 3s.
Spurs pathetic for letting Sean Marks school them (especially Duncan)
Spurs pathetic for sucking against a depleted Hornets team while being at full strength.
Refs are fucking morons for not calling an obvious foul that sealed the game.

Pointless to blame the refs IMO.
Spurs had an opportunity to foul West on the previous possession. Following that, they weren't prepared for the Hornets throwing the ball into backcourt.
Biggems
03-29-2009, 09:46 PM
well the Spurs lost this one when they didnt make all those open 3s.
they had a FT advantage of 20 to 15 at one point in the game......then they did nothing but shoot from the outside the rest of the game.
NO kept attacking the basket and got to the line.
As much of a bitch as CP3 is and as bad as the refs were on that last sequence and all throughout the game buying Paul's bullshit....the fact remains the Spurs' bricks are what killed them.
They couldn't even foul that bitch hard when he was dribbling... they fucking sucked tonight.

Manu was trying to foul because that fucking shit was not called in the back court. what is he supposed to do let the time run out?
Anyway Manu played good again.
Mason Jr, Bonner both fucking suck. Bruce needs court time over Ime too. Ime has blown it. He should not be out there unless we need a small ball 4 or someone to guard a big body like Artest.

can't blame the god damn refs on that shitty mothafuckin' foul, the Spurs could've iced the game had Pop kept the ball in Tony's hands instead of him roaming the court. Pop got too cute with micromanaging the game that it blew up in his fuckin' face! :bang :pctoss

I'm going to break down the loss like this 50% on Pop 40% on the players and 10% on the refs.
Now way I'd blame this whole loss on the refs, but they did contribute at least a little to it.

I'm not one to believe conspiracy theories, but this game is starting to sway me in that direction. Pop needs to send a letter to the NBA over this one. Yes, the Spurs should have won this one easily, and they would have if they had hit a couple more shots, but that ending was, in a word, inexcusable...the refs deliberately ignored, and thus violated, the rules to ensure a Hornets victory. BTW, I believe the Spurs lost because there was $$$ on the line...someone would have won ONE MILLION DOLLARS tonight from ESPN if the Spurs had won. The call came down from on high, and the fix was in.

This game was lost by the Spurs despite one of the most despicable sequences of refereeing I have ever seen in the NBA.
The simple path to victory was to give the ball to Tony Parker but alas they felt chucking three balls all night long was a more productive course of action.

When is Gooden going to play?
All these fucking games that Pop has tried to sit Gooden out of to WIN have ALL BEEN LOSSES. Should have just played Gooden in all of them to get experience. Instead Gooden has no experience and they are all losses.
Matt Bonner missing threes in crunch time. I reckon Manu would want Horry back after giving him the same set ups that he'd give Big Shot Rob and watch Bonner clang 90% of them.

I agree on the sucky 3 shooting. 25% on mostly open 3s, Spurs will lose almost every time. Glad Gooden got 20 mins again, but cuz of Bonner and KT fouling, not Pop trusting in him. Even though the Spurs played like complete shit, especially from 3, that doesnt give the refs an excuse to completely BLOW the game at the end. The game is 48 minutes long, so even though the Spurs were down 87-80, they finally showed some fucking heart and guts and cut it to 87-86, only for the ref to GIVE CPgay 3 free throws. Are you fucking kidding me? I just want to say that once again the Spurs got robbed in last night's game by totally inept or downright cheatin referres. Tony had enought contact with CP to call a foul in the backcourt, and when Manu fouled CP, he was not in the act of shooting, just running down the court. The fact that you throw the ball towards the basket after a non-shooting foul is committed against you does not make it a shooting foul!
So my question is simple. When is Pop going to get some guts and publicly attack the horrible tactics of NBA refs against his team--or is he worried that the fine money might limit his ablility to expand his wine cellar? Which is more important, Pop? And finally when is the Spurs organization going to stand up and do something serious about these corrupt and pitiful referees---after all the calls have been so obviously bad that even the NBA office had to get involved in the last 2 years,so when are the Spurs brass going to go after somebody and do something about this problem?

03-31-2009, 01:43 AM
If Paul really is a cheap flopper, then he would fit in perfectly with the Spurs. As much as most of you bitch about him, all of you put Paul on your team in a heartbeat.
1.) Tony Parker pulled on Chris Paul's jersey on that second to last play.
2.) Tony Parker barely grazed Paul when he was trying to foul him in the backcourt. I thought that Parker fouled Paul, too, until I saw the replay.
3.) Those last three free throws were justified.
The Spurs got the ball where they wanted it. The problem is that they took too many threes, and this is coming from a Hornets fan. It was like watching the Magic, except the fact that the threes were not going in.

give Paul 3 FT's to close the game for good instead of letting the Spurs try and force OT. Fuck you refs, fuck you NBA.
Per NBA rules::::
When a player is fouled while attempting a three-point shot, than that player is to take three (3) FOUL shots.
Now I now you all do not want to admit it, but it was clear to see that Paul was fouled while trying to shoot a three pointer, the call was good.
It is just so much more convenient to blame the refs rather than the team.
