View Full Version : Question about what makes an MVP

I have a question for the NBA forum. Let's say a player has 32 games against teams with winning records, but shoots 50% or better in only 13 of those games. Is he good enough to win MVP?

There is a lot more to it than that. So for example what if he shot 49% percent in the other 19 games? Heck I'd be happy if he shot 45%. What if he didn't shoot that well but his other numbers such as rebounds and assists were up in the 19 games that he shot less than 50%? What if in those other 19 games his PPG average was the same as the other 13 games because he made up for it by shooting more threes or getting to the free throw line more often?

An MVP should be able to crab dribble

Let's say a player is leading his team in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks, and doing it for a team winning more than 80 percent of his games. Is that player an MVP candidate?

if you can say you weigh 40 pounds less than you are you can probably win

Is that anything like asking if a poster posts 3,000 times and yet is wrong on 90% of them, is he worthy of being the idiot of the year?

The MVP can't come from a team that has lost to the Thunder twice in 2 weeks- it's written in the bylaws

You are right

I mean this guy you're referring to is only a 2 time MVP and a 3 time Finals MVP

He also swept the Cavs in 2007

LeBron leads his team in blocks by a wide margin. Nothing personal, but you're a dumbfuck. Again, nothing personal.

It depends. What's his team's record in those 32 games? What's his team's overall record?

You do realize that there is more to playing in the NBA than FG%, right?
