Oberto cleared, but won't play tonight (http://blogs.mysanantonio.com/weblogs/courtside/)
By Jeff McDonald
The Spurs medical staff has cleared center Fabricio Oberto to play in tonight's game against Oklahoma City. Just because he has been cleared to play, however, doesn't mean that he will.
Oberto has missed the past two games with a recurring heart arrhythmia, called atrial fibrillation. The team announced this morning that a battery of tests showed Oberto's heart to be back in rhythm, and pronounced him physically able to play, but he will remain inactive against the Thunder.
This is the third time in 24 months that Oberto has dealt with a bout of atrial fibrillation. He will continue to receive daily EKG tests for the remainder of the season.
