View Full Version : If TP hadn't bragged we wouldn't have lost the game.

I know its just a regular season game.

We have 8 games to go.

But damnit, someone tell TP to stay humble and Spur-like, so to say.

His interview last night backfired at him.

I'm not one to believe at karma, but it could have played a part.

Go Spurs Go. :bang

If Pop hadn't lost his mind, the Spurs would have won that game by 20 !!!

The game against New Orleans, TP said that they are getting ready for the playoffs and have trouble getting up for bad teams like Oklahoma City. I turned to my wife after I saw that and pointed out that the Spurs have to play them twice before the end of the season.

Tony said he couldn't wait for the Playoffs to start because he was tired of playing crappy teams....specifically the OKC Thundah.

Looks like Westbrook took it personally tonight, he was draped all over TP.

Parker said last night that sometimes the Spurs play slow and slack off against weak teams, and he only specified the Thunder.

I suppose that would make a team extra motivated to play the Spurs.

Missed the interview. Exactly what did he say?

He said that the Spurs want the playoffs to start already because it is difficult to be motivated to play against teams like OKC.

And it showed tonight.

Tony doesn't back up his words..

he went 3-12 in the game vs. Rondo after he called him overrated..

I love what Tony has done this year, but he needs to stop talking..

It has nothing to do with Parker's comments and everything to do with Pop spending the game like this...

I like Tony and I believe he is a great player. But he really needs to be more humble and discrete with how he talks in the public. That is how Tim is in the public and that is what makes Tim so classy IMO. I know he is just being honest but I think he would gain more respect if he can become more humble just like Timmy.

The problem is Tony KNOWS he is a great player. He needs to stop talking. I hope Pop gets in his ass for that.

Yes, Pop lost the game tonight with his experiment late in the season. If the Hornets win tonight, there will be only one game seperate DEN, HOU, and SA from POR and NOH in the loss colums.

IMO, Tony doesn't have to be humble like Timmy to be a little more tactful. I have no problem with a little cockiness, because sometimes guys like Timmy and Manu are just naturally humble or low key, while other guys learn to be a little more humble.

Tony just has to know when to keep his mouth shut. Why give the opponent locker room board material?
OKC played extremely well today and were shooting lights out.

NOH won in SAC. Now the Spurs will have to prove that they are a great team and win in OKC. Show us that Pop's experiment really works. In fact, I think they need to win all the games until the PO starts. Pop says he does not care about the seeding but deep inside I think they know it means a little help for them to win games.

I agree. It might be hard for him but I think he needs to learn that. Again, I really like the guy but his presence in the public really scares me sometimes.

Please don't blame Tony Longoria, he is still the best player on the spurs team and i don't want the spurs fans to become rocketfans-like idiots who blame tmac for whatever failure their team has achieved as a team.

It's tmac's fault, everything is tmac's fault. www.blametracy.com (http://www.blametracy.com)
