I would agree that it looks like SA might not make it out of the first round, or get whooped in the second round. This team just doesn't seem like it's clicking on all cylinders. Much farther away from the team that beat Boston in the garden earlier this year.

Seriously, OKC twice?

Some teams just matchup well with others. Can anyone explain the bucks beating us over and over with sucky teams year in and year out. I think the thing to notice is the D is coming around much better since the all-star game. We have some growing pains getting Drew involved and Manu back. So it's better to happen now then in the playoffs. Playoffs that what this team is built for.

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking. I mean there are just some teams (usually the crappy ones) that always seem to play well against us. And it's usually a team with a long 3 (Kevin Durant). No problems, OKC is not making the Playoffs. We all know the Spurs play New Orleans well, Portland well, Utah well...whoever we get in the 1st round...the Spurs have too much heart to go down without a fight.

Winding down the final games of the Season these guys can taste the Playoffs...it's like theyre bored. I know that its a bad way of thinking but looking at their body language sometimes its like they wish tomorrow was April 18th already. After what happened to them in last years Playoffs, I don't blame them. They know what it's truly about. We doubted them at times in 2003, 2005, and 2007. Everyone here just needs to suck it up and go along for the ride. You really think this team...with all the ups and downs they have had...are going to go out without a fight. They've been threw alot of wars together..04's .4, 05's title run against a defending champion, 06's heartbreak against the Mavs, 07's title run against LeBron the darling of the league. As long as Tim, Manu, Tony, and Bruce are on this team...they will NOT go down without a fight. :ihit :flag:

We're also not the only team this happens to. Bobcats vs. Lakers, anyone? Yes, I know that the Bobcats are better than the Thunder, but take a look at those teams records and explain why the Cats manhandle the Lakers every time they meet. Some teams just really turn it on with the right matchup.

You've been banned multiple times from Spurstalk?

I didn't even know that was possible. You must be some kind of superdouchenozzle that I haven't heard of.

I have not been looking in on this thread for some time, but still watching every Spurs game from afar. I am taking a peek today to see if our longstanding fair weather friends are still around. Sure enough, they are.

Remember those two games in Detroit a couple of years ago (2005 ?). All seemed lost then, too. We came home and took games 6 and 7. Even then, the games we won could have gone either way. The last game against the Knicks in 1999 is another example. These games are no different.

We will be okay. I can see us struggling through the playoffs. There are new players on our team that are adjusting to each other. Every game we play we get better, even if the scoreboard doesn't show it. When push comes to shove, we still have Pop, Timmy, Manu, and Tony. Mason, Hill, Finley, Bonner, Gooden, Bruce, and Thomas will also come through.

I can sense it.

How about anyone with less than 13,800 posts (you have 13,799 as I write this) shouldn't be able to start new threads? And then bump that number up by one for every post you add.

i'd prefer 500, or even 1000

but why so worked up over a few losses OP? anyone with any basketball knowledge and vision could have told you that this year was over before it even began for the Spurs.
the only miracle that can save us is Bonner raining down 3's at 60% for the duration of the playoffs.

Because it's like getting on a bus and making an announcement that everyone already knows about.

November huh?

You do realize the Spurs will have the exact same old, nonathletic, complacent roster & coaching staff next year right.

The pattern is disturbing.

Not as disturbing as a Spurs "fan" saying what you just said...If you don't want to cheer for the Spurs, no one's holding a silver and black gun to your head. Go join Laker Nation..
