2 first rounders, orton for cutler and a third rounder.

I think it's possible the Broncos could be better after this. Three first round picks this year? Scary.

Jay cutler sucked anyways, and was very overrated, without a receiver like brandon marshall he will not do well.........no more pro bowls for this denver toss out

Three first round picks this year? Scary.

Two this year and, more importantly, two next year in a talent laden draft.

IronMexican
04-02-2009, 04:54 PM
Yeah, I just realized that. That's scary. They could land Eric Berry or Taylor Mays next year.

As a Bears fan, I'm not sure what to think. They can't survive with the run of horrible QBs at present.

I think he's a definite upgrade over anything we had, and should make us the favorites in the division.

I have only seen a 1st this year and a 1st next year and a 3rd rd pick this year and orton..

That's a hell of a lot to give up for Cutler.

If the Donkeys make good use of those draft picks, they'll be the winners in the long run.

Bears did give up a lot; let's hope they can keep the petulant little Cutler boy in check. :hat

Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal are now irrelevant for your fantasy football league.

Cutler has his defense.....we'll see what excuses are made for him this year when the Bears miss the playoffs.

You should be excited! Bears have never had a franchisae QB, and you know they will go out and find a WR. The guy is 25. Bears are going to be dangerous for years to come,

Cutler is a nice qb but he better work on getting mentally tougher. He has even less options in Chicago. Bears gave up alot but only time will tell if this move pans out or not.

Terrific trade for Denver. Chicago will probably make the playoffs out of a weak division at least once in the next 2 years, and promptly get booted out.

As a bronco fan i can't believe we got so much for this guy, hopefully we make good use of those 1st rounders and build a solid defense.

Bronco's get the better of this trade.

And if McDaniels can teach Cassel, surely he can teach Chris Simms.

Who's to say the Broncos don't waste the picks on trash? This draft is pretty weak compared to 06, 07, and 08. Probably on par with 2005.

04-03-2009, 07:36 AM
Yeah let's see what they do with those picks first before we say they are the ones that made out.

Cutler is not overrated, he's got a great arm and can be a great QB......he's just a little emo.

Not all teams suck at the draft in the same facet as the Raiders do.

Damn Denver is sitting pretty right now. Orton isnt a "bad" qb and 2 first rounders this season and next......I would have made that deal in a heartbeat. Truth.....as a Denver fan what do you think about this trade? Do you want them to trade up and get Sanchez this year?

J.T.
04-03-2009, 09:15 AM
Do you want them to trade up and get Sanchez this year?

Sanchez is going to drop like Brady Quinn did... Denver has two first rounders, they'll be able to get Sanchez if they want him.

SpuronyourFace
04-03-2009, 09:55 AM
Sanchez is overrated. Denver should pass and roll with what they have this year. Maybe pick up a QB later in the draft.

Sanchez is probably the best QB suited to be a franchise QB in this draft class.

Sanchez is a lot better than Leinart. Sanchez reminds me a lot of Carson Palmer.

Except he won't get drafted by a team that spends more time compiling criminal records than NFL records like Carson did.

Hopefully he doesn't get fucked by Bernard Pollard or that guy that fucked Carson Palmer in the Wild Card.

McCoy? LMAO. He isn't an NFL QB.

McCoy's like half an inch shorter than Romo and maybe 10 pounds lighter and I'm going by his 2008 stats. If he improves half as much this year as he did from '07 to '08 then he'll go in the Top 5.

'Scuze me, he's an inch taller than Romo and 15 pounds lighter, and those are the '08 stats.

Colt will win 5-8 Super Bowls in his career. He will go down as the greatest quarterback of all time. If you crossed Tom Brady's dna with Mike Vick's, he's what you would get.

Zac Robinson has a better chance of being a successful nfl qb than Colt.

Well, if this were my Pats, I'd say that they'd try to roll over at least one of them to next year... lol

Don't know what Denver will do :D

Since Plaxico got cut, the Bears should be on the phone making him offers now. Adding Burress and Cutler to this team would make it a division winner easily. If the defense returns to 2006 form, they would be Superbowl contenders...

I don't see how Chicago got fleeced in this deal. Did any of you watch a Bronco game last season? To put up the numbers Cutler did without a running game is incredible. They had a one dimensional offense, and NO DEFENSE AT ALL and almost made the playoffs. Do you know how hard it is to pass when everyone knows it's coming? Cutler now has a defense and a running game which is going to make life so much easier. Chicago just took over that division and everyone here is going to realize that about a month into next season. As a Bronco fan I would rather have held onto Jay Cutler.

LakerHater
04-03-2009, 09:22 PM
Damn, he goes from the #2 offense to the #26!! :lol
The #3 passin offense to #21!

But, the #29 D to #21!! :downspin:

So, finishing tied for second in YPC and 12th in YPG is no running game but finishing tied for 26th in YPC and 24th in YPG is having a running game?

And Chicago's defense is a shell of what it used to be...

This trade would've been lethal for the NFC a few years ago when the Bears were a good...check that, decent/consistent QB away from being a perennial championship contender. Since then, hasn't their defense been on the decline? And what weapons will Cutler be throwing to? Don't know if either team will be immediately better to be honest. Might take at least 2 seasons to see who got the better of the deal.

Dr. Gonzo
04-04-2009, 11:43 PM
The Bears still have an above average defense and a stud RB in Matt Forte. They still lack in WR but Cutler will make the WRs better. I think this puts them in the top 3 of the NFC.

NewJerSpur
04-04-2009, 11:48 PM
The defense has declined a bit nonetheless (particularly in the secondary from what I've heard). No doubt Forte is a stud, but they will need to add something to the WR corps. and hope Pace is healthy enough to protect Jay's blind side. The NFC East is still the cream of the crop and the Bears ARE NOT better than the Cardinals (and I hate to say that as a Seahawk fan).

Are you forgetting that Denver already HAD first rounders for this year and next? When they're talking about 2 first rounders this year and 2 next, they're talking totals, not what they got from CHI.

I would like to thank Pat Bowlen for having had enough of this crybaby's bullshit, and shipping him out.
