32-6 at home & 14-22 on the road..Are the refs in utah that bad? I just don't get how a pretty good team is this terrible on the road. 0-10 vs. west playoff teams on the road :lol

Denver Dallas and Portland have similar disparities.

They have no confidence on the road. Look how JR keeps abusing Korver.

But I believe Utah were bad last season as well.

And the season before, but I guess it balances out in the end.

The reason the Jazz don't play well on the road...they get called for fouls.

At home, the refs don't call as many fouls, on the road, the Jazz's style of play quickly gets them into foul trouble and breaks their rhythm.

^^^^^

Nailed it; they play a very physical, sometimes cheap/disgraceful kind of basketball.

Once they get called on their fouls, their rythm breaks, and they lose.

The altitude in Denver and SLC plays a factor.

Cleveland: Home, 36-1; Away, 25-13.

This whole losing to +.500 teams has to be in the Jazz players heads now. I now fully expect them to lose all their remaining road game and will end up with the 8th team seed

Thats been the case for years, they have generally been a great home team and medicore on the road, even during the stockon/malone era. If every team got the home court treatment like the jazz then there would be no point in playing games bc we would already known the outcome..home team wins 95% of time

Denver and Utah have Altitude Acclimation going for them. Come down to sea level and that advantage is neutralized.

Wouldn't the extra oxygen give them a boost?

they need the Spirit of the Mormons (indian legends spoke of this for centuries)- a legendary presence, comparable to the Force of star wars lore-which exists in the area of SLC, to lift them to greatness.

ya maybe if they had less minorities in the stands at their away games, they would perform better on the road

haha have you guys noticed the crowd at their arena? all white. ALL white. and its the exact same kind. they all look exactly like each other haha. the jazz players must feel uneasy and get scared when they go other places and see ethnic folks in the stands hahahahhaha.

There is another minority in the 6th from the bottom. She is the only one not wearing a blue shirt. It is pink.

For the same reason Cleveland is 61-14, best record in the league but only 4th best road record in the league. Dominant home teams have historically been weaker on the road. Example: The 2005 Spurs, in which the general consensus has been that this was the best Spurs team, was only 21-20 on the road. The reason? 38-3 at home that year.

The Spurs have the worst home record out of all 8 West playoff teams, but have the 2nd best road record out of all 8 West playoff teams.

In other words, there is no way the Spurs will fall short of the title this year...

You're either a mormon living in San Antonio or you're one of the most superficial fans i have ever seen. Do you think it would be odd for me to support LA as much as you do Utah? The kind of disrespect they showed for the the spurs in the conference finals in 07 must have won you over.

Congrats bandwagoner.
