I know. That's through the Bank of the Wichitas which happens to be located where I'm from in Oklahoma. Three of the 4 locations are 15 minutes from where I was raised. Does that make me a RedNeck too?:lol

There are two other banks in the area that have the same rates and policies, just different names. They have pretty much the best money market and interest checking rates going these days; I'll probably be applying to one of them soon.

I thought the *money market* (TM) was the interest checking deal. They're not the same?

Srsly?Srsly.
Evantage (online branch of Southwest State Bank) and AmericaNet (All America Bank) are the other two.
I thought the *money market* (TM) was the interest checking deal. They're not the same? The regular money market account has no hoops to jump through regarding things like debit card use and such. Of course it has a lower interest rate too (3.10% instead of 5.25%). They haven't lowered their rates in a long time, but they are starting to cap the deposit amounts for which they will the high interest. Technically, if you wanted to park more cash than the listed limits, you could probably open accounts in more than one of the banks.
FatWallet seems to keep the best overall track of deposit accounts, and the BankDeals blog goes a little more in depth and sometimes catches local deals from credit unions and smaller banks.

2 Blonde, you are definitely a cutie. I can see why A-tranny and the PakiMan are fighting over you. So who won your heart?
I am familiar with the area too. I came across this bank on bankrate.com, whilst searching for rates. I saw redneckbank and I thought, this must be a joke. And when I saw this horse, I knew it had to be a joke.
I used to live in Altus. Spent 3 hot, dry years out on the prairie. I was in the Air Force, and also had a weekly show in 100.3. The bank is out of Snyder, about 15 min east. It's quiet out there. We had to go to OKC for a decent bite to eat.

You were at the Altus AFB? I've probably gotten into a fight with you before.
Did you ever go to Scooters?

Like any other club down that way, I guess. There was always a lot of Air force personnel there. Many of them seemed to be looking for trouble.
Coin beer night was always cool though.
When were you stationed there?

I grew up in Lawton so I've spent lots of time in Altus, Snyder, Frederick, Sayre, Hobart, Mangum, Elgin, Cache, Duncan.
You're right about OKC being the only decent place to go to eat. We would go up there to shop & eat. It used to make me laugh that all the small town people would drive to Lawton to shop and go out to eat but all of us "Lawtonians" would drive to OKC to do the same things.
We did have one fun thing to do in Lawton. The Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge was practically in our backyard. We spent every lazy day we could find out there at Lake Lawtonka.
Oh, thank you for the compliment. As for winning my heart... My husband did that. But.... Paki, Atrain & PeeWee are all very special to me, I could never pick just one of them. Besides, how many 47 year old woman get to be worshiped by men almost half their age?:toast
