Then Phoenix get swept, instead of Dallas. And Dallas gets a trip to the Loto

Mavs fans here has got through 2 monumental playoff collapses and didn't go anywhere, what makes you think we'll leave after a year that the mavs weren't supposed to win anything? :lol

as our boys in blue have little chance to gain the ring, I would rather our boys in blue to sled the playoffs. I would like to get a lottery pick than a first round kick. The lakers are overwhelmingly dominating the west this season, in such a conference every team will just be the stepstones of lakers on their road to the finals.

Our boys in blue have been sucking since they got Kidd last season, I have to admit that. I'm not blaming Kidd, I just use that trade as a time mark. Although our team is struggling at the edge of playoffs, I still think our boys in blue will have enough talent to run for the championship only if we get a power in the paint. With the lottery pick of this year, our team will surely draft a decent center which we need most. Even rookie center like Robin Lopez who was off lottery is very enough to upgrade our team to the level of the lakers, a center like Brook Lopez or Kevin Love is simply the lock for our ring.

I would be very sad if the beloved Mavs missed the playoffs. not that I have high expectations for the playoffs, but for veterans like Dirk/JET/Kidd to try and win now and fail to even reach the f'ng playoffs is disheartening. Losing in 4-5 to the Fake show is more dignified than finishing 9th.

I'm still holding out hope for 7th :), although the Nuggets probably beat us in 5-6 regardless.

You're right. Got my order mixed up. The Lakers were the larger looming opponent (especially with Dirk missing) so I tend to get the order of teams jumbled.

Wrong. NJ had the 2008 pick and they will have the one in 2010. It's against the rules to trade two first rounders in a row.

IF the Mavs don't make the playoffs, the J-Kidd trade and expectations that rode with it could not prove to be any more of a failure.

The Mavericks traded Devin Harris to the New Jersey Nets for Jason last before last year's trade dead line.
