Lived all over, but currently in Pittsburgh, PA. Been a Laker fan since 1989 (5 years old)when my Dad flew me out there to see a Laker game. It was against the Mavs and Magic had something like 30 points and 10 boards and LA won...I've never been back (they moved to staples since obviously) since but would love to go again someday. That was my first introduction to basketball and damn I feel lucky for that! Ironically, my Dad's a Heat fan but he still pulls for LA out West.

Don't worry, about 90% here in SA jumped in the bandwagon in 98-99. I mean there are some fans that have been loyal Spurs fans cheering them pre 98' but it wasn't a huge numbers.

Yes I been to LA hundreds of times. I have family over there from SoCAl all the way to NorCal, unlike you the fardest you been to is probably Austin. Ive been everywhere west of the missisippi, except Montana. It's time to head East. I'm thinking of New York or Philly

I am the same way. Lakers, Dodgers, Kings, Rams, USC football, UCLA basketball.

Im older than most you and grew up when USC was dominant in football and UCLA was in the Wooden years so they were my fave teams for their respective sports and allways have been.

I love when guys like Lakaluva and DOK call me a bandwagoner when I actually attended my first game in 66 at the age of 9 when the Lakers were playing Boston in the finals in the Sports Arena.

I've lived in Southern California my whole life. First basketball series I watched was a the 93-94 Finals when Hakeem DEMORALIZED Shaq, when I was 8 years old. I only watched because my was watching it. The following year was the first year I followed basketball. I became a Sonics fan because I became a Shawn Kemp fan and his above the rim style of play LOL. That year they went to the Finals.

It wasn't until 96-97 that I began to watch the Lakers regularly. So many people would talk about the lakers and players like shaq, van exel, eddie jones, and kobe that it put me on notice. But I've been rooting for them ever since.

I had the fortune to be in LA for the 01' and 02' finals and was able to celebrate in the parade. I wasn't able to make it last year because of the prices on the tickets were high, but who knows this year I might plan something. So far its looking pretty darn good.
