We're not as good as the Lakers if we start the game with 3 of our starters on the bench (Manu, Bowen and Gooden).

Phil wants to see Finley on Kobe.

It's pretty obvious to me that any team that plays Jacque Vaughn at the shooting guard position isn't as good as the Lakers.

Pop just simply doesnt give a shit about the reg. season. If he is still pulling weird shit in the Playoffs, then we've got problems...

regular season matters, and hopefully pop knows it. you don't limp into the playoffs a 4 seed when you can charge into them at the 2 seed. anybody who knows anything about anything knows that.

If he is still pulling weird shit in the Playoffs, then we've got problems...

it'll be too late by then.

Ginobili starts, and Gooden has never been a starter......

The Lakers aren't voluntarily creating matchup problems in favor of opposing teams.

After what happened to Manu against LA last year, he clearly has to be saving his best deck for the playoffs and not before...to not risk the chance of one of the big 3 getting hurt or someone picking up his gameplan/schemes.

2006-2007 season

Cavs swept the Spurs in the regular season

I remember those games well

It was like the 2nd game of that season @ home and the first game of the season using the old ball @ the Cavs.

As much as you think the guys have nothing left, when the playoffs start and you play the same team at least 4 times, no coach in the NBA right now can adjust as well as Pop can. Maybe PJ was helping and now since he's gone, it's taking a little more time to do. in 2 weeks, the Spurs know what they need to do to eliminate teams. If it wasn't for the Hornets taking them to 7, they had a good chance to beat the Lakers. That 1 day off between game 7 semi-finals and game 1 of the WCF didn't help much.

hmm...you think maybe that was my point? that gooden should be a starter?
