Ok i know we got are asses kicked today by 20 and we lost 3 of our last 4. But maybe what this team needs is for the fans to "come together" and say a prayer for them. i strongly believe in the power of prayer

Praying is doubting the wisdom of your god.

No. Prayer is conversation with your God.
I pray more than just when I need things. Don't you?

Man if God pays attention to basketball games, then the world is really fucked.

It's not really a conversation if only one does the talking. And no, i don't pray. I'm a devout atheist.

Why would god favor the Spurs over every other NBA team?

You can't really converse with God. It's like a dog trying to converse with it's master. You can tell what the dog wants just by it's actions whether's it's trying to please you or ask for something. That's what I think.

God hates the Spurs because Manu's an athiest.

Though I have yet to hear God audibly ( and how awesome would that be!), He does speak to me through the Bible and through what most everyone refers to as their conscious.

Devout atheist... or as I like to call you guys-future converts. :)

I kind of agree. Praying for players to stay healthy is cool, but I don't think God can not or will not chose sides.

Whats he to do when the other team's fas pray?

God speaks to us all the time. Are you open to listening? Unlatch the door, he is knocking.

Doesn't President Obama wanted us to stray away from using the term
" terrorist"? :)

We need to get those nuns together again and pray for the Spurs before the playoffs start.

If only we all prayed as hard as possible every team would have a championship for every season played.

They don't need prayers, they need to get their fingers out of their asses.

We aren't asking God to favor any team. We are praying for guidance, strength, wisdom, knowledge, and health because God gives you what you need not what you want. and the spurs need good health etc.

People that believe in the power of prayer have deluded themselves to accept what happens afterward as what they'd asked for. So you pray for god to save a love one. The love one dies and you say well it was god's plan... so why do you pray at all if god has a plan?

The bottom line is you are praying for the spurs to have a better chance to WIN.

And what happens if other fans pray for the opposing teams? Will every player in the game have good health, guidance, wisdom, strenght etc.? See how this is a waste of time.
