Former spur Marcus Williams recorded a triple double yesterday against the Iowa Energy. On great shooting, Williams scored 29 points to complement his 14 rebounds and 13 assists. This season Williams has shown much improvement and has become a solid all-round player.

GET THIS KID IN THE LEAGUE NOW!

Congrats on a great game, but plenty of people get triple doubles in the d-league and do not do anything in the NBA. Not saying people just average triple doubles in the d-league, but, it does not mean they are NBA ready.

Don't smash my hopes.
What you're saying may be true, but Williams' improvement is telling. :)

Still needs a reliable three-pointer to stick in the NBA.

That said, the Toros are almost totally dependent on him now. It's a little sad, given the overall talent level of the team.

It's too bad he didn't develop to the point where he could've stuck with the Spurs. I don't know where he is now in his development, but boy do we need help at the 3 spot.

well, considering he's still only 22 and would be a senior this year, there is still quite some room for this development. he needs to leave the D-league, that's for sure. can't tell if next year he would be ready for the NBA, but I think there is a decent chance he will. I still don't think he could have helped us this year.

Well he was playing more of a point forward in that game. He is a lot more effective when he is in control of the offense. But Dennis Lindsey and Dell Demps both seemed extremely happy for him after the game. The said they hoped no one else saw so maybe he gets another shot in the off season. Otherwise its probably off to Europe.
