I dont watch wrestling anymore but I got a chance to watch Wrestlemania last night on a Live Free Stream on the internet. So i thought What the Hell ill catch it.....
The whole card was pretty wack but the Undertaker vs HBK match was one of the greatest single matches ive ever seen from a Wrestlemania event. I "marked" out so many times during the match it was funny....haha....
If you were a former or currently are a wrestling fan you would be able to appreciate the epic fight Undertaker and Shawn Michaels put on last night.....Incredible.:hat

I was there last night and I think that's one of the best matches I've ever seen. The crowd was into that match the most and in my opinion stole the show.

the whole event sucked except for a few matches.
Undertaker vs HBK
and HHH vs Orton.
last wrestlemania event i went to was in houston as well, 67,000 people.

Undertaker vs the show stopper was the best match of the night, and one of the greatest of all time. Overall i was kinda dissapointed with wrestlemania, main event was ok. Then i saw kid rock play i was like wtf i paid to see wrestling not someone singing.

I stopped watching wrestling about 3 years ago due to its horrible direction. It just became really disinteresting. Wrestling was secondary to the entertainment and when you do that you lose your core fan base and thats what they did.
But last nights Taker/HBK match was one of the greatest ive ever seen. The drama and the stroytelling was spectacular. The kind of match that Austin/Rock used to put on. :tu :tu

Today I saw some wrestling, don't know who and what kind of match, but anyway, my question about wrestling, I don't get it. Wrestling seems pretty popular in the states but it's fake right? So how can you like and love wrestling when you know it's all fake? Can you even see it as a sport then? How can you even call that a match, when its all staged? With what do the players get any points to win?
I know ordinary wrestling and olive oil wrestling here in europe ;) but that's real, not staged.

You like Movies? You know movies are fake right? So is wrestling. But you watch movies because its entertaining. Thats what wrestling is. Its about putting on a show for the people. Its a mix of entertainment and athletecism.
WWE/WWF used to be the best thing on Cable television 10 years ago but it just sucks so bad now its sad.

Well put. And unlike movies they don't have stunt doubles to protect the main stars. Undertaker damn near knocked himself out when dove over top rope and landed on his head. There's no faking that.

Wrestlemania 17 The Rock vs Stone Cold Steve Austin was the best match I have ever watched. It went back and forth and how it ended with Austin and Vince Mcmahon shaking hands was fucking awesome. After that night...wrestling hit a decline with The WCW/ECW Invasion followed by the brand extension then The Rock and Stone Cold leaving the wwe for good. I was tempted to watch that Micheals/Taker match but I knew Taker wouldnt lose. I miss the good ole days with the corporation vs austin etc etc.

One of the weakest WM ive ever seen....the card was so weak and there was little build up to some of the matches. WM24 was 10x better than 25. You'd think being the 25th anniversary that they'd go all out...not so much

I stopped watching it when McMahon started giving Triple H special treatment all the time. He sucks as a wrestler and is horrible behind the mic. Yet he consistently had the title. Well I'm not sure about now because I don't watch anymore. Stone Cold might not had been the greatest wrestler, but you give that S.O.B a mic and he could sure as hell could entertain you.

I did however watch some of the Stone Cold HOF thing on Sat. because it brought back memories of the Wrestling Golden Age for me (Rick Flair, Sting, Lex, etc)

this was my 2nd wrestlemania in a row
flew to orlando last year
and drove to houston this year and snuck down to 6th row ringside and got a free chair ha
besides starings from nicole bella and randy orton
besides undertaker and hbk which stole the show
everything else was kinda garbage
mickey rourke vs chris jericho was a gay ending
matt hardy vs jeff hardy was good but i though jeff should of got all the revenge from his brother
money in the bank ladder match..cm puck beat christian, kane, mark henry, finlay, mvp, shelton benjamin, kofi kingston was okay but i thought WM 24 MITB was better
john cena vs edge vs big show was gay to me because i was going for edge
randy orton vs triple h was maybe the worst match of the night...boring

no love for steamboat? man hasnt been in the ring in nearly 15 year, and goes out there and puts on an impressive showing all things considered. huge props to the dragon.
taker vs hbk stole the show (as was too be expected). i marked out pretty hard when taker made his trademark dive over the ropes (and nearly crushed his skull on the landing). good pacing, solid spots, and false finishes. match of the year candidate for sure.
the rest of the show was pretty "blah". diva rumble was even more useless than usual (no entrances along with spotty play-by-play defeats the purpose of having the former divas there). MitB was fun, with some nice spots (kofi through the ladder and up it with henry, sheltons senton) but wasnt really anything special. the rourke bit was pointless. same with the jbl story. the hardys put on a good showing, although i dont know where you go from there. the two title matches were ok, but nothing memorable. the pacing of the triple theat match seemed a bit off (finish kind of snuck up on me). and orton/hhh was fine, but again, not special. im glad i didnt plop down the cash to see it.

I heard about the card a few days before....couldn't help but wish I could've seen the HBK/Undertaker match. I knew it would be an instant classic, and more than likely, the swan song match for both wrestlers....how much longer can they possibly go, and how many more epic matches could they have? Against each other, no less?

well next years wrestlemania shawn michaels said he might retire because his contract might be up so i see him going against triple h for the last time
and undertaker might have his last match at next years wrestlemania too alot of people have been talking about the million doller man son ted dibase son, ted dibase jr. beating the undertaker and ending his streak to build up ted becaues he is one the guys who are the future of the wwe

well ted dibase jr is pretty much the next randy orton that's why dibase is working with him and cody rhodes in legacy and a couple of years ago the undertaker offered randy orton to end the streak at WM but randy orton didnt want to do it how perfect would it be for the million dollar man ted dibase bringing up the undertaker in the first place and his son ending the streak. I don't see it happening but if they want to make him into the next austin, rock, or cena then they'll probably do it.

its still early to be talking about dibiase as a future major player. management does have high hopes for both him and rhodes, which is why they are working with orton in legacy (the same way trips worked with dave and orton in evolution). guy has the look, the talent, and the pedigree, but its still early yet.
as for the streak, my guess is that they have taker continue the steak into semi-retirement, with them bringing it out as an angle as needed (and potentially dropping it down the line). and even if they dont, im not sure they have him drop it to someone as well established as orton or as green as dibiase. gotta have a wrestler somewhere between those two points who needs that last big push.

well dibase has been already been talked about they have so much highs on this kid now, and his brother is also going to join the wwe too and i heard his brother is as good, so there wil be the dibase brothers, the british bulldog's son DH Smith might join the legacy and he's a good wrestler, cody rhodes i see him as a good guy down the line but he is improving week by week... then you still have joe henning, reid flair..wwe is really hiring sons of former wrestlers

Where do you leave Triple H always holding the title? At least Cena could partially wrestle, AND was good behind the mic. The only time imo that HHH was bearable was his intense fued with Austin. And Austin made that.

I agree 100% Even the storylines back then kept you wondering. I just wish that Vince had done more to keep Angle. He was a hell of a wrestler, and was awesome with the mic. Also I wish he had played a little more on the Goldberg character. After he beat Lesnar that was pretty much it for him.

HHH is good behind the mic. Not as good as Austin,Rock or Foley but he is still better than Cena,Orton and sometimes even Jericho. Jerichos character has gotten very boring and bland lately. Even as a heel back in the day the crowd loved to hear Jericho talk cause he was such a funny guy people loved him.
