I'm thinking of starting a tournament here to decide the greatest moment in Spurs history..we can all nominate moments, and pick the top 64, and organize them by seeding, based on importance..like a March Madness type of bracket..

I haven't been here that long, so maybe it's been done in recent times, which would make it pointless..if not, I think it would be interesting to see what we all think..

what do you guys think?..

Sounds good, but would it only be game moments or do things like Tim Duncan getting drafted become applicable?

My personal #1 has to be Horry's shot in game 5 of the 2005 Finals, followed by Memorial Day Miracle

it would be everything, although we can discuss that..

Tim Duncan being drafted couldn't be looked at in hindsight though..so it would have to be, "the Spurs winning the lottery"..so at that moment, we all knew the POTENTIAL of what having Duncan would do, but we obviously couldn't look into the future..

it's tough to decide the differences though..

I like the nomination of Horry's shot..shit, it would probably have to be Horry's entire performance in the 4th/OT of that game..Memorial Day is in as well..

Steve Kerr's 3-point barrage against Dallas is one of my personal favorites..

Can we include the SpursTalk meltdown in April 2008, when the Spurs lost at home to the Suns by 20?

Or maybe the March-April 2007 meltdowns as the Mavericks ran away with the Southwest Division title?

Yeah, I would love to see a greatest meltdown moments as well.

I remember after game 4 of the 2005 Finals things weren't going to well on this board.

:lol

Yeah, if we're talking true "Spurstalk" moments, that would be a sight to behold. Hell, you could probably find 64 quality meltdowns.

Stephen Jackson's three in game 6 of the 2003 finals to put the Spurs up for good.
