View Full Version : The Spurs are fine...

Supposedly the worst Duncan-Era Spurs team ever and we're the #3 seed in the West, not to mention the 2nd best road record in the West (who needs homecourt? Not the Spurs). 3rd lowest allowed points in the league, the Spurs are fine. Duncan, TP, and Manu don't go out there thinking they need to prove anything. The regular season means nothing.
Someone bump this thread when the Spurs are going down the Riverwalk in June.
I actually don't mind the #3 seed. Why wait until the WCF's to beat the Lakers? I'll take them in the 2nd round.

That's the spirit, SpursDynasty. And how do you propose to beat the Lakers? The "odd year" crap? LMAO!

I don't know what games you've been watching, but the Spurs are far from fine...lol. They are usually on a roll going into the post season, and it just isn't looking that way this year. Also I would rather them be a worse seed and winning right now then a high seed losing and slipping with every game they play.. So I don't buy this we are great we are the 3rd seed stuff. They way our team is playing, they look like an 8th seed right now. They better get their swagger back quick or it will be a short post-season..

The Spurs are not even close to fine! Watching them play of late is Heartbreaking! I wonder if there even trying out there sometimes, that's how bad they have been of late. Deep down I wanna believe they will be fine but i'm not a believer at the moment. I won't give up hope but I don't wanna live in a fantasy world.

I agree spurs have an easy last nine games and should head into the playoffs going at least 7-2 if not better over that stretch witch should have them playing confidently

the way i look at it is like this: the spurs probly are having the worst season of the tim duncan-era but there's only 3 other teams that are better, lakers celtics and cavs. i wouldn't even say the magic are really better. that being said, nobody but the above mentioned teams are having a great year either. i'd really be concerned if the spurs were hanging by a thread, but in the midst of a very mediocre season, the spurs are in the top 5.
don't worry bout it yet, pop may look stupid now, but he knows how to make adjustments to beat anybody in the playoffs. you gotta understand that in each series, you are garuanteed atleast 4 games to figure out your opponent... plenty of time for popovich

Last time I checked Spurs already have a playoff spot locked down and as any NBA fan knows anything can happen in a seven game series .... Spurs have the depth if they have the hunger they can still make a solid push to the finals

Actually, anything can happen in single game elimination. 7 game series' are a different animal entirely.

Yeah...the better team won. W/o Manu in full form, we simply can't hang w/ the elites. We may get by the bottom wrung of PO contenders, but no matter. Don't get me wrong, I admire your optimism (and I don't mean that in any kinda sarcastic manner). I just don't share it.
Edit: I will grant you that Golden State was simply a matchup NIGHTMARE for Dallas, but still. Maybe it's blind, Spur-fan MAVHATE, but I'd still say the better team won in that scenario. :king

Fair enough but there is really only one elite team in the west this year, the rest are pretty much the same I am just saying if our guys play with some fire and Gooden , Mason , and Hill play great we have a chance

I'am laughing cause he just posted this and then the news came out about any hope we had making it to the finals have been dashed, so lock this shitty thread up.
I still won't call this thread shitty...As long as we're in the playoffs, there is hope. This team thrives in the playoffs...
