It's not about manning up at this point. We'll do the best we can, but this is two years in a row our championship has gotten derailed by Manu's health.

I for one am getting mighty tired of it.

These last two years are two years where Duncan was still capable of leading the team to another ring. But we're relying on Ginobili, and he's letting us down.

What hurts about this year is that he could have taken the summer off to get well, but as we all know, he didn't.

And now here we are.

Yes..but the truth is, we can't give up. We're in the playoffs. Even without Manu, we're STILL one of the best teams in the league. I've seen an 8th seed Knicks team get to the finals with less talent than we have. We can STILL make some noise. And when guys like Mason and Parker get energized, anything can happen. That's all I'm saying.

Well, one positive is that they are already used to playing without Manu.

I think this might shake the team out of its lethargy, increase their focus, everybody stepping up to fill a huge hole.

That's what I'm hoping. And it might force Pop to stop screwing around, and put people in the position they're supposed to be.

Don't take this wrong way, but you need to update your equation:

21+20+9+90+8+12=5

Thanks for the optimism Spursfan. The Spurs will need to go on a major hot streak to make this work.

This may be the kick in the ass the Spurs need. No more excuses; live or die. My guess is they go on a a tear without Ginobili, finishing the playoffs with a win.

Then in the off season Ginobili returns to international play and the Spurs fans groan collectively.

Yep..but we've done it before. If there's ANY damn team in the NBA that can come back from this in the playoffs, it's the Spurs. period.
