I think the Blazers are still too young to win with the pressure on them on the road. They went down 19 in our house and if not for TP and TD not doing so much tonight we probably should have and could have won.

Typical Spurs this season. Have it in your hand and throw it away.

So I checked the standings on ESPN.com and it still shows us 3rd...is this right? With us, Houston, and Portland all at 50-28.

There's nothing wrong with recognising that the season is pretty much over. Injuries and chemistry have screwed us, what can you do?
I'll still be cheering to the end though, because that's what a real fan does. if they were 20-55 I'd still be cheering.
Yeah but the season isnt over.

Honestly to all of you guys with the sentiment to tank and take the 8th seed.....PLZ shoot yourself. Your fucking retarded if you seriously want to do that for so many reasons Im just not even going to waste my time writing them down. Seriously fuckin stupid.

Everyone freaks out about TD not playing good or losing to the Blazers tonight but people...remember that there are NO back 2 backs in the playoffs...and a team can get lucky once or twice but the best team usually wins a 7-game series. This team will not go out without a fight. They adjust well every series theyve been in the past years.

i just wish many of their fans were the same way.

:lol I know. Thunder up 41-39 on the Nuggets midway thru the 2nd qtr. Mavs up on the Jazz 12-8 in the 1st. And Suns up 75-65 at the end of the 3rd qtr on the Hornets.

You think Hairston will make it? I'm clinging to the thread of hope that Pop made sure Hairston would be in training camp come summer.
If I was Hairston and Houston, the Celtics, or the Cavs made an offer, I might give Pop a big FU for picking MW over me, and sign. And I could be wrong, but does MW look way too thin and small to be NBA material? I liked Hairstons raw power and tough defense, hope he comes back.
Scary thing is that I think they want MW to be a small foward. Every NBA small fowards will eat him alive let alone shooting guards, or even most point guards for that matter. Did you see him fly about 15 feet when Roy went to drive on him? All a player has to do is sneeze an he will have a free lane.
WTH Pop...

So far so good tonight. Hornets down 100-94 to the Suns with 31 seconds left. Dallas up 45-33 on the Jazz in the 2nd. Thunder up 56-55 start of the 3rd.

I don't care if we get 8th seed or 7th seed, I still think this team has a good chance to beat anybody.
Anyway what is Duncan's career low, can I ask?

with the Hornets I'm never glad they're down until the clock hits zero, Chris Paul is such a fucking headache to deal with in clutch times.

It's hard to watch Duncan struggle and labor out there. :(
I thought Parker, Finley, Thomas, Bowen, and Mason did a good job for the most part.
Gooden was ok in flashes.
Bonner and Udoka sucked.

His career low scoring average, I believe is 18.6, in the '05-'06 season. That was the year he played with PF.

Tim Duncan 4 points, 5 rebounds, 2 for 8 from the field.
Spurs are done.
They can't even get out of the first round.
And why ever did Pop play Timmy if that is all that Timmy can produce because of injury ?
Since Timmy can't really help us (certainly not on back to backs and probably only in a very limited way in the playoffs), then there seems to be no reward to playing him and a hell of a lot of risk.

For what it's worth...
Duncan had a good game against the Thunder, he can produce on some nights. He told Pop he felt good to go tonight against the Blazers, so Pop let him play.
When it became more than obvious that Duncan couldn't play Pop pulled him.

I get a bad feeling about this game
I was right :depressed
I live in DC and live and die by the Spurs (travel to watch them); having been a fan since '99 they are done. I think it feels good for a lot of people to unload on Manu (justifiably) but the reason the Spurs are going to simply go away is b/c Holt is unwilling to pay the luxury tax. That is a huge issue; and a huge issue for the Spurs. They gained "outside" fans during the Duncan and Robinson era (even Robinson seemed down on them on ESPN) but I am done and no longer burning too much money to watch them lose.
