Time to face reality...this team probably won't even get 50 wins after being hyped up as a contender in the Finals :lol
They are fucking up my seedings.

This was an easy one to predict. I had surmised all off season that the Hornets were just a 1 year wonder, and what do you know. Losing Pargo hurt as well, they lack guys who can create their own shots.
Think about it, relatively speaking, this is the same 40 win team from 2 years ago, only difference is CP3 elevated his game. But that is not enough to transform a 40 win team into a contender, especially when the roster is not stacked w/ youth.
Peja/Chandler/West have come down to Earth this year, like they were supposed to. A starting lineup with those 3 + Rasual fucking BUtler contending? :lol

I don't see how anyone can defend the team if you get SWEPT in the season by teams such as Chicago and New York lol. Chris Paul is the best PG in the league, but besides West he has absolutely nothing helping him put.

West isn't even that good, he's just scoring those points because someone has to.
Scola, Dirk, Amare, Boozer, Millsap, Duncan, Aldridge, Gasol... yeahhh, he's probably the 9th best PF... in the WEST.
edit: forgot Gasol

David West would be so much better if he got rid of his attitude problem and learned his role on the team. Then again when you have shit around you besides Paul you have to try more than what you are capable of.

Just make CP3 a scorer and they are an average team....guard everyone else....and let CP3 do his thing.

I'm glad baseball season has already started. Without a healthy Chandler, this team is getting swept. I'm not joking. Even if he was healthy, we don't have enough scorers to win a series. We need to find a SG this offseason.

True, you guys are missing the 4-6 dunks on CP3 lobs every game, and that is a lot of points to have to make up.
Not to mention the shot blocking on D...
If you are searching for a shooting guard, I hope it is not Von Wafer, though I tremble at the thought of him with CP3.....

Wafer would be an upgrade over Butler. I thought JR Smith and Kirk Snyder would have been long-term solutions. I was a fan of Snyder. Athletic, could shoot, defend, etc.

Hornets to take part in loan program (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/basketball/nba/04/09/hornets.ap/index.html)
The Hornets have decided to take advantage of an NBA loan program despite having by far their best season at the ticket office since moving to New Orleans in 2002.
'We accepted the loan that the NBA made available to all its teams to keep our options open in case these funds are needed in the future,' Hornets president Hugh Weber said in a statement sent by e-mail Thursday to The Associated Press.
The Hornets have sold out 22 games this season, smashing the previous high of 13 sellouts last season, the Hornets' first in New Orleans full-time since hurricane Katrina. Average attendance this season is 16,977, and the official sellout figure for the New Orleans Arena for Hornets games is 17,188.
Led by the all-star tandem of Chris Paul and David West, the Hornets also have made the playoffs for a second-straight season, which will further enhance the club's bottom line.
`We are experiencing unprecedented success in ticket sales and sponsorships and by no means was this loan acquired to subsidize our daily operating expenses,' Weber said.
With the recession hitting North America hard and credit markets freezing up during this season, the NBA lined up a $200-million line of credit with several major financial institutions. Between $13 million and $20 million was made available to teams expressing interest in the funds.

The Suns lost their star PF and didn't make it into the playoffs as a result.
Unlike every other team's injuries, the loss of TMac actually benefitted your team.

What you said was a 100% correct, but if you watched Tmac play this year he was utterly useless. The guy was hobbling on one knee all season long, he couldn't even get over the rim on an open dunk.
He was avging over 20ppg just last season. Ironically, and sadly at the same time, the reason for his injury is actually prolonged play on the injury last year. He should have rested but the rockets were on a roll (22 streak) and when it came time for the playoffs he had to get fluid drained via sentesis and cortisone shots before every game.
I think its terrible that a player that carried the team, yes CARRIED ever since he got here can't perform when he is finally given the chance. He enjoyed a nice career hope he gets better...just not in houston though.

West usually outplays Aldridge. Aldridge doesn't have a post game and is more comfortable facing up, yet his face up game isn't as good as West's. Also, West would be less of a blackhole with Brandon Roy on the team.
where do people get West has a bad attitude? because he doesn't smile a lot? He's been a consumate pro since he arrived in New Orleans. He's just a quiet guy who's a beast on the court. BTW, 20 and 7 or so is not a down year.

Well for one, he tried to rip Mike Miller's fucking head off earlier this year.
And for two, he love tapped Dirk last year. We're talking about a 2006 NBA champion, 2007 MVP, the best PF in the game, a guy whose had 10 years better than David West's career year, and David West thinks he has a right to pull that shit? Game recognizes game, but West doesn't have game. Fuck West, fucking punk.

Whatever argument everyone has about West, applies to dirk as well. Dirk is an All-Star, but not a superstar.
Dirk's not squeaky clean himself. I remember in the 2005 series against the Suns, Game 6 when he verbally abused Terry after Nash hit the game-tying three. What made it worse was how Dirk was stinking it up that whole series yet he chews out Terry for that one play. What an asshole!

1. Being upset at a team mate is different than slapping a hall of famer on the face. Far different.
2. Dirk was a top 5 player from 2005-2007
3. Dirk won the MVP in 2007
4. Dirk led a jump shooting team with "so so" defense and no low post scoring to a 2006 NBA Championship
5. Dirk is an 8 time All-NBA player
6. Dirk is an 8 time All Star
7. Dirk is one of the 15 most efficient offensive players of all time.
If our beloved motherfucking Dirk isn't a superstar, I don't know what the fuck a superstar is.

West tapped him, not slap him. After Dirk was frustrated late in the game by using dirty tactics.
Number 3 was a fluke MVP. It showed in the playoffs.
Number 4 with the so-so defense and no post scoring is sorely because of him. He chose to be the kind of player who plays the perimeter instead of controlling the paint. That reason alone was why they were always considered a regular season team and why they couldn't beat Golden State. He couldn't do what a midget like Boozer did the next series and abuse them in the paint. Dirk is 7 ft tall not 6'8 like David West.
Dirk was fortunate in 2006 he faced a Spurs team with an injured Duncan and faced the Suns without Amare just like he faced the Kings in 2003 without Webber.
Dirk has put up alot of numbers throughout his career, and will be a HOFer, but he's not a superstar caliber player. Guys like Terry, Howard, Stackhouse, etc played a huge part in the Mavs success.
