An article from the Dallas Morning News suggests the Mavericks let the Hornets know that they would be willing to take back two of their worse contracts in a package for Chris Paul. Tim MacMahon, the reporter who wrote the piece, also suggests the Mavericks will approach the Hornets this summer with a similar offer. Mark Cuban has repeatedly said the Mavs will be "opportunistic" in the trade market and are willing to take on salary if the right situation presents itself.
"I want to win," Cuban said Wednesday night when asked about his willingness to take on significant salaries under the right circumstances. "If I think it puts us over the top, hell yeah. I'll just go get another job at Dairy Queen."

No fucking way, Cuban.

This is a 100% accurate, verifiable quote given by Donnie Nelson that shows just how idiotic & delusional the Mavs front office is -

When asked why Lebron, Wade, or any other massive 2010 free agent would choose to sign with the Mavericks, this is exactly the reason he gave....

"because it's Dallas"

I assume this works with trading for Chris Paul too. The Dallas Mavericks are renowned for being the most incredible sports franchise on earth, so everyone wants to sign here and teams want to trade their superstars for our crap.

between the Shaq rumors and now the Chris Paul rumors, I think it's safe to assume Mark Cuban knows for a fact that the Mavs will get swept in the 1st round. He's doing whatever he can to keep attention away from how bad the team is.

but I can't wait to roll out a Paul/Kidd/Howard/Nowitzki/Shaq lineup next year! With Terry & Bosh on the bench. Western Conference Finals, here we come!

Didn't Donnie mention "lockeroom amenities" as a reason too?

And the Dallas media are mostly a bunch of nut-licking company men. When Chris Bosh and the Raptors came into town, there were several articles on how Bosh would come to the Mavs in 2010 even though Bosh himself said he might consider it when he was close to retiring from the league

But you're right, all this fantasy talk is just to detract attention from how the Mavs are another first round fodder this year.

The only way the Hornets would do something as ridiculous as this is if DENISE SHINN needed a new vacation home.

Haha, a backup for Jason Kidd, that's pretty good.

Wasn't kidd the one guarding paul last year in the playoffs when paul screamed to the crowd 'He can't guard me!'.

Unlike Jason Kidd, CP3 is actually a good pt guard. Kidd should just retire

Jason Kidd is still playing games at least, unlike some other player on rockets team that has been enjoying a household life since her knee got the microfracture surgery.

Smart play. Didn't N.O. just attempt to give Tyson Chandler to OKC for nothing but expirings?

I think you're going to see a lot of strange things this summer in the NBA as season ticket renewals plummet. Remember, most teams required full upfront payment last year BEFORE the economy collapsed. Trades like the Camby and Gasol abominations will become de rigeur.

You're not the chosen brother, Eli. It was Paul who was chosen. You see, he found me and told me about your land. You're just a fool.

I did what your brother couldn't. I broke you and I beat you. It was Paul who told me about you. He's the prophet. He's the smart one. He knew what was there and he found me to take it out of the ground, and you know what the funny thing is? Listen... listen... listen... I paid him ten thousand dollars, cash in hand, just like that. He has his own company now. A prosperous little business. Three wells producing. Five thousand dollars a week.

Look bro, you're pissing me off. I don't know why you feel the need to always say this nonsense, maybe it's the whole domestic abuse thing. Well, get over the fact that your dad gave your mom a black eye when you were a kid and shut the fuck up. If it makes you feel better the bitch probably deserved it. :toast
