Which team's bench will step up during the playoffs?

http://extras.mnginteractive.com/live/media/site36/2009/0411/20090411_085021_FooterNuggets041209.jpg

I hope the Nuggets bench doesn't choke as per usual, i think the addition of Birdman, Balkman and AC will make a difference. Having AC start was never a good idea

The Bulls have the best bench in the NBA. When Deng comes back its going to be

Kirk Hinrich/Salmons/Tyrus Thomas/Joakim Noah comming off the bench

The Lakers! Jordan Farmar has the swagger to be a Kobe type player, but not half the talent! We love him in LA.

I could easily see Birdman averaging 4bpg in the playoffs, his intensity will go up a notch :smokin

Well let's see, the Mavs have the best bench player in the league a decent big in Bass and no one else. That makes them barely above the Hornets :lol

I would like to think Brevin Knight, AK-47, Millsap & Korver are/were the best bench in the league. Shamefully for them, that's proven to not be the case. Not by a long shot. I vote Portland. Maybe Denver if they stay hot.

Portland's bench has a lot of talent, but little experience.
I thought Luol Deng was done for the season, including playoffs.
The Lakers bench is pretty good, especially if you consider Odom a bench player now.
Denver is solid and has versatility with bench players able to play multiple positions, but even on the bench, Carter makes the point guard position weak in terms of depth.
Boston's bench isn't what it was last year, but it's still pretty good. Marbury could be an interesting variable depending how he plays and how he conducts himself.
Cleveland and Houston both have solid bench units.

I'd say it's between the Lakers and Denver. Take your pick.

+1

Earlier I would say lakers.. but ariza has since moved into the starting role and the rest except odom seemed to of lost their swagger and touch. Moving ariza back with walton and the addition on shannon brown would help a lot in my opinion

Oh and the nuggets bench has been real solid also lately..

Definitely the Hornets with Sean Marks, Ryan Bowen, Mo-Pete, Devin Brown, and Antonio Daniels. These guys could start for in team in the league. The D-league that is.

I'd have to go with Portland - size, speed, strength, athleticism. They have it all.

Portland. Denver's is decent, but that's made up for by the huge holes in their starting lineup.

The Lakers' bench is overrated. No point guard or center worth mentioning, Vujacic disappearing, Odom's fragile ego not handling demotion well...

I think it's Denver. They have a guy that can drop 30 on any given night in Smith.

No other team at the top has that.

And when the fuck is Kleiza gonna get some tattoos....he doesnt fit that team.

Certainly not the Spurs bench:

I'd say the Jazz, Rockets and Portland. Isn't Frye injured? Bayless never really plays, so I don't think Portland is the best "by far".

I swear farmar plays backup pg for two teams, LA and Dallas...

Frye isn't injured he just can't get any playing time, same goes for bayless.

Great thing about J.R. Smith that if he drops 45 one night, he'll be sure to drop 6 the next game.

If the Lakers put Luke back in the starting lineup and Ariza back down to join Odom on the bench, then it's the Lakers.

If not, it's the Trailblazers.

Oddly enough, this year has to be the year with the most "good benches" in the WC. Nuggets, Rockets, Mavs, Spurs, Jazz also have pretty good benches.

Only the Hornets have a disappointing bench.

Valid point. But he is certainly someone you gotta worry about in a 6th or 7th game.

Yea thats true. Thats what's scary about him. He can be garbage for 3-4 games & come in the next game & drop 40 on your ass without hesitation. But ive watched too many games when he just shoots a 30 foot three with 20 seconds left on the shot clock :lol Thats how the whole denver team is.

He's a lights out scorer when he's on. Last week he hit 8 3's against Utah and then the next game 7 3's . Maybe George Karl hasn't been completely throwing him under the bus like he usually does.

If Manu was healthy we'd had one of the best if not the best bench players.
Manu, Gooden, Bowen, Thomas, Hill, Udoka - this guys can be pretty good
