ya i just read on the Salt Lake Trib website that he intends to play....but after how much pain he was on friday night, i dont know how effective he can be unless he was faking like Paul Pierce and drop 40 and 20 tonight

The only time I want to see CP3 flop it up is tonight. Otherwise, it's hard for me to cheer for a brat.
So, CP3, get with the flopping, make sure the refs give you all the calls like they usually do and win this game. Let's go Hornets!!

Will fragile Peja and/or Chandler play?

I'm hoping we sit Paul and West tonight. Yesterday's game was more important plus CP3 and West played close to 45 minutes. They need the rest to get them ready for the playoffs or Wednesday night in case the guys need to win in San Antonio. If the 7th seed is clinched by Wednesday night, I would rest those two for the Spurs game.

I really don't care for tonight's game. A win would be nice, but it would be dumb not to rest CP3 and West since they're playing 40+ minutes every night. If BS starts both of them, he should treat it like a preseason game. I want to see the bench got alot of action because they need the work, especially Hilton Armstrong and Julian Wright.

Why would the Hornets rest their players? This is a big game for them.

Last night's game was the biggest of the season. We really needed that win. Tonight's game at Houston will be very difficult since it's the second of a b2b and we need to rest CP3 and West since they're playing 40+ minutes every night. I really think we're not gonna win this game and BS should be realistic as well. We can get both guys ready for the Spurs game in case we need a win.

It's speculation because Scott mentioned last week how he wanted to rest Paul and West before the playoffs started. Yesterday's win gave us the tie-breaker over Dallas and a 2 game lead over Utah. We haven't clinched anything yet, but tonight would be a good time to get Paul and West some much needed rest.

To some extent, you only need 8 guys in the playoffs.

Hornets problem is their starting 5 more so than their bench.

CP3 will have to play 45+ minutes per game in the playoffs just for the Hornets to take a series to 6 (and lose).

The Lakers have officially lost the HCA chance tonight (after the Cavs win today) so I'm not sure what the Lakers do tomorrow versus the Jazz.
Somewhere amongst the 12 billion articles/posts I've read today I thought I saw something about Phil planning on playing his starters... but yeah, in practice we'll see. I don't know if LAL would rather play DAL or NOH or us, but given our recent game, I wouldn't be surprised if they try to keep us in 8.

well i remember at one point paul and scott had a public spat right? something about minutes or summin .... there were stories leakin out early this season.... i think hes gone after this season...

Scott's biggest problem is himself. he is too stubborn to change ANYTHING regardless of how badly something is failing. why he has been the coach of this team for 5 years blows my mind .... he should have been canned after the 2nd season.

Holy fuck. The Hornets suck ass. The one fucking time I wanted them to win, too. Oh, well, of course this means they'll bring their fucking "A" game to San Antonio on Wednesday...

Hell, Mo Pete gets millions for sitting on the bench. Isn't it great that we have a coach who knows when to put players in?

relax bro, it's going to be ok.:toast

well sons this was expected .... without Chandler we have next to NO interior defense whatsoever. Paul and West are going to have to combine for at least 60 points for the Hornets to have a chance since no one else can step up, BE A MAN, and score the basketball. Paul only shot 4 times in the first half, expect him to explode ....Peja needs to be taken out behind the barn, ass raped by a donkey, and shot ....

son, with tyson chicken, we would still beat down your pathetic team.

You can't take too much away from this game. Still, the Rockets may not ultimately have the offense to win it all this year, but they definitely have the defense. Battier looks better than he has all year.

The refs didn't fall for any of his flops....The one time he flopped on one side of the court, Artest goes to the other side and flops on him :lol

I loved it when he tried to flop on Scola and then when he was lying on the ground Scola flopped over him and got the tripping call :lmao

Chris Paul is a great player, which is why the guy needs to stop flopping so damn much....it's embarrasing.

Agreed. He's a damn good ball player and it's a shame he has to resort to bs tactics like that. I respect D-Will because he just straight up competes and doesn't fuck around with shit like that. He lets his game do all the talking.

I find it funny that people with floppers on their team whine the most about players on other teams who flop.

The Rockets are not built for flopping. Yao did it early this year trying to take charges but Uncle Deke fixed him. Said a guy that is 7'6" should never be trying to take a charge and always always always go for the block. :tu

Aside from that, only other players on the Rockets I ever seen try to take charges on a regular basis is Scola and Battier and they take real charges. Never seen any of em flop.

Scola and Battier flop. Absolutely. Scola tried to draw two charges against West and the refs weren't biting. It's a common practice and I am glad when the refs don't reward it. In their defense, there is at least plausible contact when they flop. You can't say that about every flop in the NBA.

The bigger question redzero- is flopping what you are taking away from this game? Your team got beat in every phase of the game and are limping into the playoffs. Flopping is the least of your worries.

The Hornets lost because they played like shit on the second game of a back-to-back. I am not even worried about Rockets players flopping, because I don't bitch about flopping. I just find it odd that Rockets and Spurs fans complain about CP3 flopping, when players on their teams do the same thing.

Do I like flopping? No. Am I going to bitch about it constantly like a crybaby? No. I wasn't making any excuses at all. The Hornets played like shit for the second and third quarters.

Jesus, some of y'all need to learn the difference between Charge taking and flopping. Do we need basketball 101 around here?

Trying to get a charge IS NOT FLOPPING....it's a defensive weapon.

Lv4l0KInMNM

Newsflash, they don't have "NBA fundamentals "flopping".

I never say a player is a flopper when he attempts to take a charge on a player driving the lane, because he's either going to get the call or he's going to pick up a foul (something "floppers" don't have to worry about) and he does take contact. Battier is NOT A FLOPPER, he's a charge taker. The only flopper on this team is Scola and he only does it 1 out of every 10 games..usually only does it when a player flops on him. (just like last night...Paul flopped on him, Scola turned around and flopped right over Paul and got the tripping foul...he likes to give players a taste of their own medicine, which I like and find funny as shit) Infact, type in Scola and flopping on youtube and see what you get...you can't even really call him a flopper.
