Observe and Report

This was unfortunately not as funny as I was hoping. It was basically Mall Cop but with more over the top mature humor. Rogen was ok as the bipolar cop and it was nice to see him play something other than his usual "chubby guy that makes alot of pop culture jokes". This time he acts crazy and does alot of physical comedy. The problem was, the jokes weren't that great and the story moves really slowly, dragging badly at times. The funniest parts were probably his police academy tests and the battle scene set to Flash Gordon music towards the end. He did have one classic line when faced with about 30 cops ready to beat him down..."You don't have enough pigs to bring me down." The last 10 minutes or so of the movie made 'Sarah Marshal' and 'Dewey Cox' look like a Disney movie, talk about gratuitous male full frontal. It was like watching a men's shower at the gym...effing gross. Ana Farris was ok as one of the female leads but even she was annoying in alot of her scenes as well. Overall, very disappointing...wait for it to show up on cable.
