Just an observation of the obvious. Note that this post is going to assume that higher seeding is always better - that's not necessarily the case, but let's pretend.
For the Spurs to win the Southwest, we need those things from up I-35 to beat Houston on Wednesday, as well as us to beat New Orleans.
Dallas, on the other hand, has a shot at the #6 seed - but, only if we beat New Orleans and they beat Houston.
What's ensuing might be the most peaceful 48 hours between Mavs and Spurs fans... well, since the Mavs became relevant.
Bleh. It just feels uncomfortable.
But to add to the irony, if we do in fact scratch each other's backs that way, the prize is possibly a first-round playoff date with each other. That feels better.
