If the jazz lose tonight then tomorrow games are worthless.. but if they win then tomorrow will be much more exciting!! I mean would the mavs/hornet fans really want to play the rox/spurs/blazers over the nuggets??

if jazz lose tonight, tomorrows game is kinda irrelvant for the Mavs bc it not like by winning or losing they can pick their opponent....2-5 is a crap shoot and as long as the Mavs are 6-7 i cant complain

Blazers and Rockets are significantly better than the Spurs and Nuggets, who in turn are significantly better than the Mavs and Hornets.

They're going to lose. Why should they care?

The real question is who do the Lakers want in 1st round? Do the Lakers want to play Jazz in 1st round?

LA would win in 4 against Mavs and 5 against Utah..they are significantly better than the two so imo they dont care

Looks like Okur could be out.

I would also say that clearly the Lakers would want to play the Mavs. Utah, even though they will not win, will beat the crap out of the Lakers physically. No one wants to play that physical of a series in the 1st round.

Jazz are AWESOME at home. Could go 7 games for that reason alone.

ask Minny and GS about that

It is not irrelevant. You want the 6th seed just in case the Mavs and Hornets both won their playoff series in 1st round (not likely :lol), so you can have home court in the 2nd round.

ask Minny and GS about that

Plus if Jazz win 2night they will be 3-1 against the Lakers this season.

Here's to a Jazz loss tonight and the automatic 8th seed and date with the Lakers in the first round. Lets hope this happens because I want the Jazz to beat the crap out of the Lakers even though in the end they will lose.

Also on my wish list. Rockets to beat the Mavs and Blazers to beat the Nuggets.

2nd Seed Baby!!!

The Jazz would be 2-1 if they win tonight...the series is tied @ 1-1.

The Jazz will not win tonight and even if they do, they have a date with destiny. Beat the crap out of the Lakers as much as possible before any other Western Conference team has to play them.

You do know the NBA regular season didn't start until the 28th of October, right?

Hell, you almost could have included NY in that list, too. Utah actually remembered to play defense at the end of that game, though.

LMAO.

Either way it doesn't matter. Gasol and Odom can guard Okur outside like they do Dirk and Bynum and Gasol can guard Boozer and Milsap inside and make it real tough for them to get good looks.

With Deron also hurt with an ab-strain and LA using Brown more for defense, I doubt Utah gets past 5 games. And they only get to 5 if they win Game 3 - otherwise they're getting swept too.

I want Utah because then the series would be Sun-Tues-Thurs-Sat (Utah doesn't play home games on Sunday) and LA can have their series over in a week or a couple days more. More rest for the 2nd round.

I am saying this. If the Lakers play the Jazz in 1st round its going 6-7 games and the Jazz have a shot at beating them. If I were the Lakers I would sit my starters after the 1st half and try to get the Hornets or Mavs in 1st round.

I've heard from good sources on what the schedule will be if LA plays Utah and that was it.

I am saying this. PJ is going to rest his starters in the second half, and the Rockets might draw the Jazz and make a quick first round exit as usual.

Phil won't sit his starters for a half. He will just give his starters longer breaks in the first half and sit them for good early in the 4th - just like the Memphis game.

I am saying that would be the smart move for the Lakers. Sit the players, let Jazz win, play the Mavs and cruise to second round. Jazz could beat Rockets. Jazz could upset any of the teams in the west. The NBA champion this year is coming from the East.

If the Jazz lose tonight, than tomorrow's game is meaningless to me. I don't care too much about being 6th. It's no different than being 7th. To me, being 5th is worse than 6th or 7th.
