If you want to talk amongst yourselves it is the place to be. That is what I've been told.

With all this talk of ACORN crashing the tea parties, and Glen Beck being at our Tea Party, our office's phone's have been ringing off the hook. We're not doing a damn thing, though.

Although I'd go just to go. Lunch downtown anyone?

Isn't having tea parties a British thing?

Will they be selling Gordita's?

I had heard that Acorn was going to have their own "counter" rally....so they are really going to crash the tea parties? That could get ugly fast.

Well not in San Antonio they aren't. Me, a Che Guevera lookin' guy, and a skinny black guy...not a show of force by any means.

I'm tempted to go just for the sheer spectacle and to take pictures. And to see if there is free food, since I had to just pay my taxes and my ass is nearly broke now. :lol

:lol Oh sweetheart. This isn't fiesta related. Although we should make it an every year event. It would be fun. It's some crazy way of protesting the excess spending and bail outs in Washington DC, in the same way the colonists protested "taxation without representation." Counter protests in some cities are going to occur in support of the President's budget and policies. No matter what large city you are in, you would probably be hearing about it.

I've talked to multiple people who are planning to attend and they were neither insane, redneck bubbas, uneducated, nor America hating people. I believe your assumptions to be wrong.

If I do go I'm going armed with an internet connection and I'm going to try to talk to people on video and document what they say.

That's why I'd go. I'm just trying to decide if I can find a place to park at that time of day. Or if I can get some of my co-workers to go with me. We're so close to downtown it would be such a waste.

I'm going just to check it out. Funny how things change. It wasn't long ago that I was being called unpatriotic and accused of "aiding" the enemy for speaking out by the same people who are now organizing these events.
Power to the People!!!!
