Most basketball fans in the world love some attractive players like Dwade,kobe.AI.T-Mac

It is because their skill is "so-called" magnificant but I kinda disagree

'cause Timmy's inside skill is actually the most beautiful one in the world

The reason I hop on their bandwagon after the Suns lose every year is because their team has a system, has players that are told to do a certain thing in the system and the players care enough about winning to always listen, and still manages to dominate the NBA with a team mentality even though the media cares more about individuals with an individual mentality and ignores what is a great team.

Oh really now......Kevin Willis; acquired for one reason: muscle up to Shaq. His one handed rebound thunder slamma jamma over the Diesel in Game 6 of Roundd 2 in 2003 propelled the Spurs over the Lakers onto the WCF....even though the game was pretty much in hand.

cause they have been my team since I was a baby going to ABA games at Hemisphere. I don't remember those years of course, but my Dad and brothers do. So I have been a Spurs fan all of my life. To me they have been more than a basketball team, but a San Antonio institution, a way of life. I have grown to appreciate how competitive they have been for such a poor, small market franchise (only 6 losing seasons in the NBA, only 4 times missing the postseason, 4 NBA Championships, and the 2nd best overall winning percentage in league history). I have grown to be thankful for having great, yet humble superstars like Gervin, David, and Tim. As I have grown older, I have learned to appreciate all that they do in the San Antonio community, especially with regards to their efforts with children. They make it so easy to follow them, root for them, and support them, cause they are pure class on and off the court. They are good people doing good things in San Antonio. Plus, they have the best Mascot in the NBA, the Coyote. No matter where I go, I will always love the Spurs.

I'm from Spain.I was a big fan of MJ and Reggie Miller in the middle of the 90's.My brother was a big fan of D-Rob and the Spurs so I liked them too.

But I began to be a big fan of the Spurs in 1999 with the end of Bull's dinasty and TD was my favourite player of the NBA.

Spurs are my basketball team but I still have affection for the Pacers.Even The Colts are my only NFL's team.

i will go as far to say that if i had NBA talent, which i obviously dont, the only team i would play for is the Spurs. if they didnt want me, i wouldnt go to another team. my loyalties to the Spurs are just too strong. The same goes for the Dallas Cowboys in football.

i mean, i could have and would have played baseball for a team other than the Astros...and i could have and would have played hockey for a team other than the Penguns.

To me, it would have been a huge honor to have played for the Spurs....to be the hometown kid and hero. It would have been something very special. I definitely would have treated the occasion with more respect, pride, and integrity than Devin Brown did. The dude had a chance to go down as a local legend and do so in front of his family and friends....and he blew it with a lazy work ethic and sometimes poor attitude. I would have had so much pride representing my people, my city, my family and friends....

I'm not a big NBA fan (NFL is my sport) but I became a Spurs fan during the TD era. Actually, I started getting into the Spurs because of Ginobili-I love his passion, energy, style of play.

But I like this team because they win and do so with dignity and class...not arrogance and a sense of entitlement.

Because they're the most un-NBA basketball team out there.

Because of their structure, their system and their dedication.

Because of Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobli, Michael Finley and Money Mason.

And, of course, because of the spiffy black away uniforms. :hat

Because the level-headed, intelligent, patient wisdom of the team and the the people who run the team are in stark contrast to the rabid homerism, small mindedness, illiteracy, homophobia, and general stupidity that are allowed to prosper on spurstalk. And also because Tim Duncan doesn't have a messianic complex and wouldn't erase posts on an internet site that dare to disagree with him.

Hard to give just one reason. So this is my one reason, split into three parts lol.

1: Mr Tim Duncan

2. I've lived in SA since I was 2, the Spurs will always be my team.

3. There is something to be said for being not only the winningest franchise in pro sports over the last 10 years, but doing so in a classy manner. None of our guys mouth off, none of our guys are 'thugs', none of our guys showboat or hog the ball. We epitomize intelligence and fairness. We win as one team and we lose as one team.

In this era of profesiional sports its truly rare to have 'professional' athletes. And we always have a team full of them. <3 the Spurs!.

Spurs are all class baby. They represent the NBA better than any team, yet don't get quite the recognition and respect for it. Their success is all the more incredible because the odds against them are greater than for most teams. I admire and repect the way the players carry themselves and their hard play. They represent San Antonio so well, and basically put it on the map for a lot of people in the states and across the world. Where would SA be without the Spurs? They have had three incredible basketball legends and a great history. I love the uniforms and the coyote too. The Spurs are just awesome.

Because they are the team who plays the sport to nearly perfection, no matter if it is 'boring'. They only care for winning, which is what matters in the end, and they gotten 'over theirselves'. Because of Timmy, The admiral, Tony, manu, bruce pop..and everyone who has been in these organization knows how to get the job done, and they do it in a classy, selflessness way.
