I know we all pretty much slacked off for the last couple months, so here's a bump of the rules. If you are already a Battle Blogger, please consider making a new battle blog. With the season winding down, there are a number of good topics to cover.

Battle Blogs
Not only will this be an entertaining competition, but Battle Blogs will give Spurs fans a voice. The rules are simple but the stakes are high. For the Battle Blogger who finishes the Spurs season with the most victories, SpursTalk.com will pay that person $350. Also, the Battle Blogger who finishes with the highest winning percentage (minimum 20 victories) will receive $150.

Here is basically how it will work (additional rules will be provided for those who decide to join):

1) If you are interested in being a Battle Blogger, private message timvp and he will give you the needed permission to enter the Battle Blog forum.

2) Compose a topic in the Battle Blog forum. You have 250 words to give your opinion on a topic. The topic must be one that has an opposing viewpoint.

3) Another Battle Blogger must then come into that thread and indicate that they will take on the role of the opposing opinion. Once indicated, that person has 3 hours to post a rebuttal of no more than 250 words.

4) The starter of that topic then has an addition 2 hours to post a retort of no more than 150 words.

5) Finally, the concluding rebuttal is no more than 150 words.

After a battle is complete, the thread is then moved to the Battle Blog judges forum. There it will be voted upon who did a better job of backing up their argument. Once the judging is finalized, the thread (now in article format) will be presented in the main forum and on FullSportPress.com. Oftentimes, it will also be featured on WOAI.com.

If you are interested in becoming a Battle Blogger or a Battle Blog judge, please private message timvp.

NOTE: Although judges must stay anonymous, we would really, really appreciate you deciding to become a judge!

NOTE 2: Political Battle Bloggers welcome as well.

Bloggers: There's a blog in there right now started by Brodels yesterday that needs a response. Someone step up to the challenge.

Yeah, I checked with the Battle Blog gods on that before, and they said it's cool. I'll respond in a bit when I'm not at work.

If you sign up for Battle Blogs (by messaging timvp) he will add you to the list so you can see the Battle Blog forum (it's invisible to everyone else). When the Battle Blogs are complete, then we transfer it to the Judges forum, then the finished product to the main Spurs forum so everyone can see it.

Here's an example of a completed Battle Blog.

There is some pretty decent money up for grabs here for simply doing what you do anyhow, posting.

I hope we begin to get new participants.

I hear you, and I have trouble making my point in only 2 posts. It's hard to take someone apart in 2 very small posts, but it does provide more of a challenge.
