ESPN, TNT, ABC, NBA TV?

Who is your favorite play-by-play tandem?

Quadruple header on Saturday and Sunday, so networks will have their A and B teams out.

TNT without a doubt

Yeah it's TNT by a landslide. ESPN/ABC is utter shit. I literally hate everyone that works for them. Mike Breen is the worst person to ever live.

TNT by a mile.

ESPN coverage to me has become worst as the years go on. I actually wish NBA TV and TNT had exclusive rights to the playoffs

they're all shitty and could be done much better. that said, TNT is head and shoulders above the competition.

Entertainment wise, I'd have to go with ABC/ESPN solely because of JVG. But if I was in the mood to hear a game called correctly and in a somewhat professional manner, TNT.

TNT. While I think that JVG is probably the best announcer of anyone's lineup, the rest of ESPN's people stink. And the pregame show is lightyears ahead of anything that ESPN craps out. Somehow TNT manages to seem totally off the cuff yet way better informed. Meanwhile ESPN's show feels so prepackaged and scripted that it's like they spent the whole week planning it to the second, and yet it sounds less informed.

A lot people don't like abc/espn. So I'm guessing that no one likes the Mike Tirico and Hubie Brown combo. Or is it the Breen, JVG, and Jackson that no one likes. TNT is ok with me, but I only like it when Reggie and Marv are commentating.

Marv Albert & Mike Fratello are the best and they have been the standard since the NBC days...

Add Fratello to that list and we have a winner...

I like Alpert & Fratello. I also like Breen & Jackson. Van Gundy is annoying as hell. Hubie Brown is ok, but Mike Tirico sucks.

If TNT got JVG and Mark Jackson to announce for them it would be like heaven on earth.

The NBA on NBC was the best ever.

Now it's TNT (Turner) which also runs NBATV.

ABC/ESPN sucks outside of JVG/Mark Jackson

Ah, "Roundball Rock." John Tesh's one positive contribution to humanity. Loved how they broke it back out for the Olympic basketball coverage last summer.

NBA TV is horrible, unprofessional, and displays so many of the negative stereotypes of blacks......and that's just Gary Payton and Cheryl Miller. Those two act like complete jackasses instead of analysts. They act as if they are hangin out in the barbershop or at a poker game, instead of trying to discuss basketball in a professional manner.

I am mostly disappointed with Cheryl, cause she does a great job with TNT...she does her job with class. When she is on NBA TV, she may as well be some hoodrat off the street with her antics.

I am not saying you have to be dull and drab......Look at TNT. They are very entertaining, comical, and silly. However, they are also very informative, show great chemistry with one another, and they give the audience what they want........solid and entertaining basketball analysis.

You should hear what some of the ESPN analysts think of it. And no, it can't be found anywhere on the net, ya gotta have connections.:p:
