Some good songs! I completely forgot about Yaz! :lol

One of my favorites was Johnny Cash's rendition of Hurt.

Also, cant forget about the many timeless songs by Pink Floyd... I still have a vinyl album with the cover both in immaculate condition. Nothing like Pink Floyd on a true record, a CD version just doesnt cut it.

radiohead - "talkshow host"

mazzy star - "fade into you"

Two of my favorite songs ever. I took the liberty of getting links:

"Talk Show Host (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeWCZpTTvdc)"

"Fade Into You (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWvEXChflEE)"

Also thought of:
Radiohead - "Exit Music (For a Film) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMqXj-eVCjI)"
Björk - "Bachelorette (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfAfJuGovfU)" (crappy youtube choices)

Stabbing Westward - "Goodbye" or "Desperate" (or any song off Darkest Days, really)

Flaw - "One More Time"

Staind - "4 Walls"

Hurt - "Flowers" (even thought it's kind of a tounge-in-cheek melodramatic song)

Radiohead -Exit Music (For a Film)
That song is one of the most emotional songs I've ever heard. Beautiful and depressing at the same time.

I really like that GoW2 song that they used for the commercial.

"Bittersweet Symphony" - The Verve
(although I think the whole "being a dick" theme of the video kinda ruins it for me)

Zx3m4e45bTo

...and I don't know if this qualifies as melodramatic, but because of all the other Radiohead recommendations, I had to throw in my fave

There's nothing like Pink Floyd period.

By the way does anyone know that Radiohead song with the music video that has the singer walking and running through a forest and there is crows and he becomes a tree in the end or something like that. It came out sometime in the early 2000s
