Hawks vs Heat 1st round matchup. I respect D-Wade a lot and felt for a long time D-wade should be the MVP. He's a great player but his team is pretty sucky. Sorry to the Heat fans on this board but F The Miami Heat. I hate any team that plays my team in the playoffs. I hope we kick some ass in this series. No doubt D-wade is the best player in this series but our team is better than them. Hawks>>>Heat. There only two ways we lose this series : (A): Hawks don't show up and play like pussies. (B): D-Wade starts getting 2006 finals Bodyguard protection from the refs. Im more worried about D-Wade getting bogus calls than us not showing up, I know Stern loves Wade and probably doesn't want him to lose in the 1st round so im nervous that a fixed series may be near. I hope we play our hardest even if this series is fixed in Wade's favor. I hope Joe and Smoove don't settle for too many jumpers: Take it to the rim!! Posterize JO, Haslem and Beasley!!

And let me disgress a little bit. Lol @ Chris Paul. I hope the Nuggets kick the Hornets ass. I hope 6'3 billups locks up the 5'11 pussy known as Chris Paul. I really want to see how Paul throws up his stupid floaters now when Birdman and K-mart will be there to reject his shit. Let's go Nuggets!! No disrespect to BrHornet45 but I hate your Franchise player. He's an asshole and a jerk, and yet the NBA tries to make it seem like he's a gentle and humble guy. F Cp3. I wanna see David West act tough among the likes of K-mart, Smith, Birdman, Nene and others.

One thing I see wrong with your post is that I don't even think Paul is 5'11. 5'9.5 probably, but that doesn't stop him from being the best PG in the game. Billups is a great defender, but not the speediest of guards, so I'm not sure how bad that will hamper his attempt at stopping Paul. Should be an interesting matchup

90-62 Game 1. Lol @ SpursDyansty who said the Heat could easily dispose of us. And Lol @ "experts" and "analysts" who said the Heat can beat us. I already told you guys the only way the Heat win over the Hawks is if their is a massive screwjob. But we're so much better than the Heat its not even funny, I wonder if Bennette salvatore can even save the Cheat in this situation. 3 more games to go, Lets go Hawks!

Oh yeah and Lol @ Chris Paul. They got blown out of the fucking building just as I expected. Goddamn this game was sweet, Birdman owning everyone one of the Hornets who tried to drive inside, Carmelo breaking Peja Stojabricks ankles, K-mart dunking like crazy, Billups killing the Hornets from downtown. Ahh, that was sweet. 113-84, lets go Nuggets. F the Hornets!!

Wade only shot 4 FTs, how the hell did that happen??? Good job hawks, if you don't let Dwhistle get to the line, that whole team has got nothing.

By the way, Josh Smith is one crazy athlete. I wish he had a bit more in his head, he would be a great player if he could be a bit smarter but even like this, he gives one hell of a show.

Sons Chauncey Billups just shot some fluke shots. Plus Rasual Butthead can't guard a chair and Peja Shootallthebricks is scared of Marshmelo. Plus Denver air is real thin, almost made me dizzy enough to faint and hit the court without even being touched. But I been practicing my tango and once I start rolling, sons, I'll slip into some more free throws the next game. Scoring on Chris Andersen will be the big easy whoadie.

Fuck, Fuck, Fuck!! Im pissed we lost. I wanted us to win all of our games at home. I know we can and should be able to still win this series but we have to get better. We have to play tougher, try to move the ball more and try to run the fastbreak more often. And we have to trap D-wade more. Im pissed, now on to Miami for game 3...

Well I was angry last night but at least the pussy ass bastards known as the "Hornets" lost in embarassing fashion. The Nuggets owned them well once again, Birdman sent that Pussy chris paul to the deck, Billups lit Chris paul the Fuck up! 31 points on 8 of 15 shooting, 4 of 6 from downtown and 11-11 freethrows! Chris paul got owned. Chris paul answered back with a weak 14 pts. Paul did have 13 asts but as a team the whorenets only had 18 assists. Maybe if Cp3 didn't dominate the ball so much they could have more assists. But anyway F the Hornets!! I hope the Nuggets sweep those bitches and send Chris Paul flopping all the way to off-season.

That game sucked for the Hawks. They were playing waaaaay too loose, and it's obvious they expected Miami to phone this one in. Things will be tougher for them from this point out: Miami has played well at home this year.

And fuck the Hornets. I normally don't like horror films, but it was fun to watch the torture-porn that was the Nuggets/Hornets beatdown last night.

Good luck to the Hawks in Game 3, I'm rootin' for 'em!

This has been a pretty good series, much better than I thought.

But if DWade's still hobbling, Heat are gonna go down quick.

Anybody know what's wrong with DWade's back? He looked pretty hurt yesterday.

Red Hawk #21
04-29-2009, 02:33 PM
D-Wade's a liar, that's why I call them the "Miami Cheat". He always says he's hurt in every series he plays in so that when he plays people will say "D-wade's a warrior he's palying hurt, or "D-wade lead his team to victory even though he's hurt" or the most popular of them all" the only reason the Heat lost was because D-wade was injured"

He might be truly injured but because of his acting I can never believe him. Well Marvin Williams is out for the next game so that will definetely affect us. We need his athleticism and defense. We'll just have to play through it. If we can establish our fastbreak tempo early this game will be over. You guys do remember game 1, right?

jdev82
04-29-2009, 03:21 PM
game 3 i saw wade come of screens and as soon as he did the ref put up his arm slightly, showing that he was gonna call it anyways. an arm touch ensues, and mike is charged with the foul. the ref had had his hand going up since d wade got the ball. all he had to do was blow the whistle and hope theres no replay. no d wade gets no preferential treatment at all. sorry hawks, youre fucked by the refs

That was a major beatdown, I was pretty sure the Heat were done after that.

Today will probably be another beatdown.

Coincidentally, the Hawks have the extreme athleticism to give the Cavaliers some trouble next round. So hurry up and finish this baby up.

Yo! Check out this shit from the Miami herald I just read from Hawksquawk: http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/columnis...ry/1021191.html

Depressing, yes.

This wasn't why the Heat asked its fans to wear black, but it was certainly fitting Monday night.

An awakening, yes.

More than even the Game 1 disaster, this was a cruel reminder of just how difficult it is to win any playoff game, especially for a relatively young team.

Bleak? Hardly.

As bad is it looked to watch Dwyane Wade drag his worn body up and down the court and fail at his personal rescue attempt in the fourth quarter, this loss is not indicative of what's to come.

As emotionally draining as it was to experience a riveting 19-2 run to end the second quarter and follow that with a lifeless second half, it's nowhere near enough reason to declare the tide incapable of turning back in the Heat's favor.

The Hawks have home-court advantage in what is now a best-of-3 series. It is a position of strength, yes. But they are still the Hawks.

And even in a game that they never trailed and held a lead as big as 21 points in the first half, these Hawks showed why they're simply not capable of maintaining any of this momentum.

Call them emotionally unstable. Call them strategically challenged. Call them a coach's nightmare.

Whatever you call them, just remember that they're the Hawks, and the Heat will still recover from this, win the series and move on to a much-anticipated series against the Cavaliers.
Why the optimism after a dreadful performance in which the Heat scored more than 17 points in only one of four quarters?

Just rewind the tape and check the evidence.

That was Wade shooting four airballs in the first half. That doesn't happen unless he's hurt. And chances are he will find a way to work around a tight back or some sore muscles for the remainder of this series, now that he knows what is facing him.

But more importantly, remember how the Hawks took over the game and then nearly blew it in a matter of 11 minutes.

As the Heat was handling and shooting the ball as if it was covered in butter, the Hawks had 24 points in the first quarter and 22 in the second -- an average half.

The combination translated to a 44-23 lead with 3:47 left in the half.

Then the Heat amped up the pressure, and the real Hawks showed up.

Udonis Haslem took a charge and Maurice Evans nearly exploded.

Then Solomon Jones, who hasn't played significant minutes all series long, fouled James Jones shooting a three for a four-point play.

Then Mike Bibby blatantly pushed Mario Chalmers for an offensive foul on the ensuing inbounds.

And to finish off the comedy of blunders, Bibby fouled Jones again while he was shooting a three. Fouling a three-point shooter is one of basketball's criminal acts as it is, but to do it when Jones had a four-point play just 11 seconds earlier makes you question not just the basketball IQ, but just the regular-old IQ of the team in general.

The Heat's close to the second quarter was so predictable, it was as if it was simply baiting the Hawks the entire time.
The only part that was surprising is that Miami couldn't finish off the comeback, which had as much to do with more poor shooting than anything Atlanta did.

Yes, the Hawks outrebounded the Heat. And, yes, Zaza Pachulia had 12 points and 18 rebounds in 34 minutes off the bench.

But Smith was at his unpredictable offensive worst. Joe Johnson was still stymied by the Heat defense in a 5-of-12 effort. And Flip Murray continued to take more shots than anyone should be comfortable with him taking.

So if the key to winning Game 5 is basically ''shut down Zaza Pachulia,'' consider it possibly the easiest game plan in playoff history. And consider it done.
A pessimist might look at the Heat's two-point production from a limited bench and consider that a problem. But it's practically a guarantee that Wade going 9 of 26 and the bench going 0 of 7 from the floor in the same game will never happen again. Not in this playoff series, anyway.

Remember how Wade and the bench responded after the Game 1 debacle?

Monday was sad and unexpected and painful to watch (whether you were a Heat fan or not). But it's no precursor.

The Heat will recover.

Wade-LeBron is still very much on.

My Response: Who the Hell does Miami's homers think they are?! I seriously hope we destroy these guys now. Hawks, don't let me down!!

The refs must be scared as shit because the Commish is there. How Dwight Howard doesnt get a flagrant or ejected last night for his elbow yet Wade gets a flagrant called on him for an attempted block is stupid as hell...

Yeah that flagrant on Wade was bogus. Evans momentum is what caused him to fall hard like that. I think the officials overreacted to what happen earlier. I think that flagrant foul will not hold up if the Heat appeal it.

So Stu Jackson says the Rondo foul is not flagrant but yet Wade's clean block on Evans is called a flagrant? The Heat need to appeal that call on Wade. That makes no sense that Rondo's foul was called a basketball play. Even Rivers and Rondo admitted that much after the game. That thier intent is not to give up layups in the playoffs.

Oh really? Have you seen what Jamaal magloire has been doing in this series? Im totally convinced they're trying to hurt our players. And BTW check out this quote by D-Whistle : "Zaza Pachulia is knocking people out," Wade said. "I'm not telling my teammates to knock him out, but when he comes down the paint, at least make sure he feels it on offensive rebounds."

Talk about a complete meltdown by the Hawks. A game were they have a chance to advance and they shoot a dismal 37 percent. They spent more time barking at the refs then playing. I see the Heat winning on Sunday. I think the Hawks won't stand the pressure of being the favorites and having to win Game 7 at home. Last year they played loose and free since they were heavy underdogs and took the Celts to 7. I am telling you like Chuck would say their butts are going to be tight on Sunday. If the Heat come out and get a 10 plus point lead to start the game the Hawks will fold. Nothing more dangerous then Wade playing loose and free.

I hate this series, that was a trashy performance. Hopefully our fans give us some energy in game 7, this team is absolutely garbage unless they can get their fastbreak tempo. Its the coaching honestly, we have no system. You never know what to expect from this team at times we look like Gods and times we look how we looked like last night. Its frustrating, but I honestly hope we win on sunday. We need to get an early lead and just play hard.

Is striking to me how much separation there is between the Cavs and Heat/Cavs. The Cavs can win anywhere they really don't need HCA to win the title. The Hawks though are always saying things like "our crowd gets us going". If they have any serious aspirations to win they need realize there will come when they need to win on the road. You know the Cavs are going to Atlanta and get a win.
