Have you noticed how Vinny stayed cool and collected during the whole game, even when Celtics were getting BS calls towards the end of the game?

IMO, it has helped his young players a lot :tu

Looking lost more than offering "an edge."

But, it worked.

Well, of course, you still need to have talented players who can deliver (duh ! )

But it's important for a young team to have a coach who doesn't panic.

vinny was the biggest reason the celtics stayed in the game for so long. he kept playing miller at the pf position in the fourth, when it was clear that he couldnt run the pick n roll with Rose, leaving Rose to beat 2 players all the time: Miller simply cant roll and finish at the basket, no speed, footwork and jumping ability, he kept crushing onto bodies and losing the ball. his jump shot was way off too, missed 5-6 jumpers from 15-18 feet. the game changed when thomas came in, he made 3 jumpers and he also has the athleticism to take it to the basket.
it was so clear in the end of the 3rd and throughout the 4th only an imbecile like vinny couldnt see it...

ps: just came back from the game...if kg was there, the game would have been a cakewalk for the celts, rose kept penetrating and there was noone in the interior to stop him...
