Im gonna say a couple weeks.

That right there was close to a severe.

Hope this doesn't linger in the playoffs.

Well, we had a shot at this game for a while.

Play hard guys, the result doesn't mean shit anymore now haha.

Hope Nazr can step up a little.

Rasho too, he will be gettin the touches down low.

Although, with that interior D, hes toast.

Did you watch the replay? If he had been barefoot, that little bone on the outside of his ankle would have touched the floor. That's a pretty damn far way for the ankle to bend, like 90 degrees.

T Park

Better hope nothin is torn or broken ankle wise.

But, this is emotionally shot for the team today.

T Park

caught a break, nothing broken.

Now, the next thing is to pray the MRI comes up negative too.

But, if its a sprain, fuck it, sit him till the last 2 games of the year.

The team can win regular season games with the group they have, and against the competition coming up.

Be strong TImmy.

Go win one for em Spurs :)

03-20-2005, 03:52 PM
As long as he can be completely healthy by playoff time, its ok.
Not broken, thank goodness. Hopefully after a lil rest and alota ice he'll be bcak in a few weeks.

Fuck the IOC. Fuck the whole Olympics. Fuck you pieces of shit stealing money and not giving the athletes shit for it.

03-20-2005, 04:28 PM
Unfortunately, Rasho was pushing Rasheed in the back getting into rebound position and Rasheed went forward and underneath Tim on Tim's layin attempt. It was just one of those things that happens with big feet in the lane. If Rasho doesn't push Rasheed to get separation Tim isn't hurt but you cannot blame Rasho, nor Rasheed.

The Spurs are going to have to really "compete" full-out to win.

Spurs' Duncan out with ankle injury
March 20, 2005

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- San Antonio star Tim Duncan crumpled to the floor with a sprained right ankle in the opening minutes of Sunday's game against the Detroit Pistons.

The Spurs said X-rays were negative and Duncan is day to day.

Duncan's ankle turned in gruesome fashion after he scored and landed on Rasheed Wallace's foot under the basket. He immediately grabbed his right foot as he fell to the floor, where he stayed for a few minutes before being helped off without putting weight on his right foot. Duncan missed two games earlier this month with a sprained right ankle.

After X-rays were taken, he was pushed in a wheelchair to San Antonio's locker room. The two-time MVP and NBA Finals MVP began the game averaging 21.2 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.7 blocks this season.

It was in the article posted by ducks. Unfortunately I can't watch this game because ABC has their heads so far up their asses they thought the west coast would rather see the suns play the freaking grizzlies instead of the the 2 title favorites.

Walton, you simple fuck. Save your drama queen bullshit for some other time. That ankle roll looked hideous, and to say anything else would indicate you are a complete moron. Grow up dipshit.

Shelly
03-20-2005, 06:40 PM
Well, I guess if your ankle hasn't had enough time to properly heal, it would be very easy to injure it again. But then again, Walton probably thinks he's a pussy when Tim doesn't play because of an injury. Tim should just suck it up and play injury or not. :eyeroll

boutons
03-20-2005, 06:43 PM
Tim probably won't play until next Sunday, at earliest.

And then probably 2 weeks of not being able to push off hard, not able to play at full speed like he able to was only recently.

I was really counting on Grizz giving us a little help today. WC HCA is in great danger.

It is really frutrasting, Spurs with maybee the best team in their history and their two best players having injuries.
Let's hope that they will avoid injuries in the play-offs and finishes with the title because if they don't, that would be an awful waste.

That was a nasty roll very visible in the replay. I'd say he's out at least two weeks, and after that, wrap that baby up solid. They should stick him on IR and bring Marks back in, that is if Marks pinky toe is good enough to play on.

exstatic
03-20-2005, 10:22 PM
I'd stick him on IR, too. I guess it would have to be Marks. Wilks just went on, and I'm not sure LJ III is healthy enough. If he is, I'd be in favor of giving him a look see.

Last sprain, he skipped one game, played one, and skipped two. Just shut him down for 5 games, and then re-evaluate. The next three are winnable, with O'Neal down for Indy. Houston will be a bitch without Tim, but so would the playoffs. Seattle will be tough, too. That would be the last game of the 5.

td4mvp21
03-20-2005, 10:31 PM
I think we should get him back as soon as possible. Tomorrow is a back to back, Indiana is gonna be tough, houston is gonna be tough, as well as seattle. Thats a five game losing streak right there(50-20)

I was really angry at first about this, and was bitter most of the day, but then I realized three positive effects about Tim being out this year or rusty for important games:
1. Miami Game-Tim just back from injury and played absolutely terrible, as well as the whole team. We shot horrible, didnt play good defense, etc and we lost by only 4 points to a healthy Miami on the road. Thats quite an accomplishment.
2.Today's Game-We stuck with the defending champs for mostly the entire game, WITH OUR BENCH. Not one starter was on the floor when we got within two. Duncan was out, and our role players were so helpful.
3.Depth-Tim's injuries really do prove we have depth. We stuck with the defending champs, the SUNS for the entire game ON THE ROAD. In the Phoenix game our deep bench players (Mike Wilks for example) were on the floor against a healthy Suns and we only lost by six. WOW.

Its gonna be really scary if we are COMPLETELY healthy for the playoffs.....
