Our boys in blue played a perfect game tonight, except for the first quarter. Spurs played perfectly in the first quarter with their starting 5, their starting lineups were still top-class but their rotation limped as a connsequence of Manu's absence.

Erick Dampier played beyond his sort of regular season, a double double had been away from our "second best center in west" for quite a long while. Tonight Dampier did a great job on both ends of the floor, bringing tons of troubles to Tim Duncan. and his 38 minutes tonight also equals about 2 of his averages in the regular season.

Dirk played off his mind during the first minutes of the game, but he re-found his sense short after and led the other boys in blue to fight back. It's obviously a bad decision for spurs to put Matt Bonner on him at the defensive end, Gooden or Tim Duncan should have done a better job on Dirk IMHO.

as the rest of the team, Josh Howard also played bad in the first minutes of the game. 1-5 from the field, allowing Bruce to shoot a fluke 3 at the defense end, letting fin shoot 3-4 from the arc in the first quarter... But Josh suddenly waked up after a timeout during which I guess he took a smoke. In his 29mins' game time, Smokey scored 25 pts which was the highest on our team. Besides, his assists to Dampier were also pretty impressive.

JET jumped off the bench at the moment when they spurs also considered putting in Manu but found him in suit. Although JET didn't score too much, his presence at the offensive end helped a lot, even more than his own points IMHO. JET's presence sharply sliced the spurs' defense which is always considered dense and tense.

Barea was a typical example of how JET influnced the game. JJB shared more shots from JET's hands and his performances were satisfying enough to deserve those shots he took. Especially in the first quarter when he played perfectly on both ends. It's a smart decision for carlisle to put Barea in our lineup rather than Wright.

Wright is more efficient playing off the bench IMHO. For many times we have seen Wright attacking the rim at the beginning of games in regular season, digging himself in the crowd alone and lose the ball as a result, by a fade-away shot or a steal. Tonight Antonie only missed 2 shots in 3 pointer which has never been considered his prefession, collecting 7 pts from 3 field goals including a 3 pointer, and one point from the line which added the 8th point to his stats.

Of course the other bench-off player shouldn't be ignored either, his brilliant performances impressed us a lot especially in the 2nd quarter. Like Wright, Bass also only missed two shots but he made 9 shots in total, which brought 14pts to his stats.

Jason Kidd didn't shine too much tonight, but his contributions were still not ignorable. Kidd limited Tony Longoria's points to 24pts which is very acceptable to us especially considering his season average and the 22 shots he made tonight. :lol

Believe.
